So, Warlight is a Flash based game with a massive community. 0 day vulnerabilities in the Flash application are known to have been exploited in recent days. What are the admins doing to ensure community security?

Isn't this something better handled on Adobe's end? They're releasing a patch later this week. And also on our end- Adobe recommends disabling Flash until the patch arrives, so I guess no more Warlight.

The site is HTTPS, not HTTP, meaning that the all data is encrypted and no one will be able to tell what you did. See https://www.warlight.net/blog/index.php/2014/11/warlight-can-now-be-accessed-via-https/ for details of the HTTP to HTTPS update.

Edit: try to keep Abode Flash up-to-date. (There has been an update to it today.)

The zero-day vulnerabilities affect Flash, not HTTP. HTTPS doesn't solve issues with Flash.

Unfortunately, security isn't as simple as enabling end-to-end encryption on your requests.

What we're doing is not exploiting the bug.

The security issue in Flash has to do with allowing a malicious website to attack its users. If you're using a version of Flash that is vulnerable, a malicious website could, in theory, take control of your computer just by visiting that website.

Since WarLight isn't a malicious site, you have nothing to worry about by using Flash here.

But what if Warlight is just an elaborate ruse to get us all to trust it :O

I mean, distrust your administration, just like you should your government. But if Fizzer really plans to do this, it would be a lot more obvious. The government doesn't serve your interests, Fizzer does.

Thanks for the clarification, Fizzer. Great to see that y'all are on top of this.

Please tell me this means Fizzer is running for President in 2016. I can't wait to hear him detail his stance on foreign policy! (I'm assuming it would have something to do with a 3 takes a 2 nearly 85% of the time...)

Fizzer on ISIS: "Look, all we have to do is break their Northern Iraq superbonus. If you look at the Kurdistan bonus, two territories in there border one territory in the Eastern Turkey bonus. There's no way our opponent can defend the Northern Iraq superbonus and Kurdistan bonus if we have that territory in Eastern Turkey and attack from there. I promise you that ISIS will have to surrender in just two turns."

Fizzer on Russia: "Yes, they have a lot of Bomb Cards... I'm reconsidering that idea. But at least we can use our Sanction Card, even though the host set it to reducing only 5% of their income."

Fizzer on China: "Since Local Deployments are enabled, that means we should be able to still break most of their western bonuses if we show up with more armies... wait, Multi-Attack is enabled too?!"

You should have seen UKIP's immigration policies!

@knyte: lol.

So, do we only need to keep flash up-to-date?

From what I can gather, yeah. And don't visit sketch websites.

Also, another good reason to switch to HTML5.
