Despite having the game for a year and a half now, I really hate how I can't choose nations' starting positions in multiplayer games, to make it more realistic, so consequently I'm still level 1. But, I found a way to solve my predicament. I began making maps, and not even one of them has made it through testing... yet. However, this one is in my opinion extremely good and fun to play (having done it with computers several times), but I need it tested in order to switch it to development. So, anyone who wants to play a fun game based on WW1 just send me your name and I'll invite you to be a friend so you can join the game. It has 15 slots, which is why I've had a lot of trouble recruiting people.

I would be happy to test your map.

You should know, however, that there is a "custom scenario" option that does what i think you're trying to do with starting locations.

Is this a map, or a template? Because those are two completely different things.

A map is something you create yourself and upload to WarLight for others to use.
A template is something you create for a specific map (usually) not created by yourself. Therefore, the template is of your own creation, but the map is not.

ill take Portugal, i assume it will have very few troops as it just sent a few thousand men in wwi

Got it. In case you are wondering, it is actually both. I made a map, and I am testing it using a template that I also made.
