We would love to reward members that conbribute to WarLight. As you know we are a member funded indie game. So we are looking at creating features that members might want that go beyond free accounts. Of course, no advantanges in the game. :)

How about Execlusive Username with Membership?
If a user wanted GoldFinger as their username then the game would move all other users that have the username of GoldFinger to an alternate username, example GoldFinger2. Now when GoldFinger2 logs in next, he will be prompted to keep his new username or pick a new one for free.

Execlusive Forums for Members only?

Let us develop our own apps for Warlight (also, a windows phone app would be great). But a 3v3 ladder for members wouldn't hurt. Perhaps give them a few maps, or make the M less ugly. And make it red, because it looks like its from the 90's.

Exclusive username is a nice start...

I'll add some ideas to this post when I think of them.

Exclusive username: Imagine your name is Bob. Like 500 people would have to change their name. What if five of them are members?

Exclusive forums: I think forum blacklists would suit this better. Who would use the member-only forum? What is the need for a separate forum?

Last 10 games: No. Some players make 1v1 games to chat about real-life issues. We need some privacy.

Promote ladders: I like that idea. Especially for RT ladder.

Third type of sound notifications: That should be a feature for everyone.

Other ideas from me:

- Design your own Member logo.

- Make your own custom color (primary and secondary) (Red Blue Green 0-255 thing)

- Tieriary & Quadranary colors

- Comes with a 50 coin starter pack (Not the best idea but they are paying 35 dollars so giving them 50 cents isn't that bad)

- 50 player games

If members get 4-5 new perks, I will buy one for sure,

As far as some ideas, I've often thought about members getting things like a small monthly coin package. Maybe just 10 coins or something so that you can play 1-2 coin games.

Wait, did I get that right? If you actually do this, then a member can just steal your name, and you are forced to change your name then?

You would get to rename yourself for free. And for your case, you could just do Cata.cauda.

no they just get the option to make a new one for free. (but only then i assume)

My biggest issue is 2 people with the same name that are both members. How would that be decided, if at all? What's the point of exclusive usernames if they aren't exclusive?

Also, there would be that jerk that would change his name to Benjamin628 to tick me off.

umm. well maybe they will all get the option to change their name for free but they don't have to and they will all still be named Bob. (only the member ones though)

good point Ben. maybe there can just be names reserved for members then. like if i were (or anyone else for that matter) were to buy a membership under the name MightySpeck then only members can have that name.

I meant for everyone. Seriously, get rid of the ads to dating sites and mature games.

Thomas please stay on topic. Here's more I thought of:

- Different levels of members with more perks costing more money. Everything suggested this far is worth about the current cost of membership.

- YouTube integration for members only (Could be a decent thing to give to all of us)

- Special settings for members (Like Bomb card) one example would be the deployment limits suggested in a popular user voice.

- Customizable profile page (different colors and stuff)

- Name changes every 2 levels

- Ability to block last seen time (Incognito mode to an extent, I don't really like this one, just throwing it out)

- Level up faster (not that levels matter when you are member). A 150% modifier would not hurt.

for the highest lvl moderator for the forums? (but it would be like lvl 4 or 5 though.)

Something to the effect of:

Bronze - 15$ Current Member advantages.

Silver - 25$ low-mid tier things like YouTube intergrstion and customizable profile page.

Gold - 40$ Everything I suggested.

Giving away forum moderator is not related to membership and should not be. Fizzer can trust a non-member and distrust a member.

Cooler icons? Why don't you get to design your own?

Member ladder - 3v3 Europe should be a ladder everyone has access to. Here's my idea:

A member ladder should have a TON of templates, members can a Rate the template 1-10, and the template has to have a 6/10 to stay active. You can also deploy your own templates, but it has to be approved by a handful of moderators.

-Boost in points (something like +10% or +20% if you are a member - it is reasonable)
-Making public tournaments with no coin prices nor rewards (meaning: tournaments anyone can easily join through the public tournament option, and without being specifically a coin tourney)
-.gifs for profile pictures
-Mail threads with more than 20 people (30 or 40 maybe?)
-Customisable/reasonable profile link*
-Being able to click more than one territory/bonus at a time when making custom scenarios for convenience (example: I want all of Africa to be given to a specific player on Medium Earth - make it so I can shift-click every bonus and then just add in the slot)
-Capacity to pick a slot when joining custom scenarios rather than having to decline and rejoin all the time

*Example: Mine is "https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=8638136582?" - if such feature is added, I can change to "https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=Zephyrum" or something like "https://www.warlight.net/Profile?p=Praise_Your_Lord".

what do you mean by youtube integration?

I do not like the "layered membership" suggested by Ben, but good suggestions there. I particularly liked the faster name change and extra profile customization.

YouTube integration idea:

In the community tab, there is a sub-tab titled videos. There you can register your channel and people browsing (not just members can see the videos) can see the videos posted like the YouTube subscription feed.
