I'm not sure I understand the intent of this. Do you want to make several, minor and easy to code features only for members, or are you also prepared to make a big additions (like whole new ladder some people mentioned)?

That said, we could spend the extra time to make an HTML version of the page for members if that has more support by members and potential members.

it's already done - just put "open games" tab from dashboard in another page:P

Another reason for the dashboard is that in our testing it is easier for new players over separate pages.

you are in 'no-games' so you have quite good look in dashboard. Join 10+ games and try it again.
There are some things people can get used to even if they don't like it at first (like settings icons), but no one will ever get used to scrolling down every time he want to find a decent game.

what about a "status" thing like facebook, but on our profiles. this wouldnt only be members but it would be cool for saying if your online or playing/setting up a game or tourny or sum

YES, excellent idea here.

The name change idea is essential for members I think. Give them the option of changing their name every 30 days like it used to be. This won't inspire people to buy memberships by itself but when added with these other ideas, it makes membership much more tempting to some.

More colors would be nice, even to just choose between the 50 already made for the large games.

To be honest, it sounds fun to mess around with more varied colors.

Seeing the last 10 games of any warlight player is a good idea. In a lot of chat games, many players already use team chat to discuss with others. With this change, all clans would likely use games with team chat, so it is not a big deal. Also it may help catch alts, and might be interesting to watch some of the games.

The possiblity of leveling up faster (1.5x normal rate) is something that makes no difference to me but some people would enjoy it more, and I can't see how it would hurt, and it should be easy to implement.

Yeah, it'd be quite a incentive for lower level members to reach the "soft cap" (level 56).

Ben's video integration idea is really cool too.

I'm still indifferent towards this youtube thing, but might as well give it a +1 as it can be good for some people to learn from WL videos.

Tbh, I think customization will result in getting the most new members, and I think it is a good feature. Although what we have now is OK, I always like personalizing my profile.

This will result in very similar colours, but if they are just a tad different WL might not see them as different. If this happens in a big game with multiple people this will be annoying. I also don`t really see the point of it. Aren`t the colours we have right now good enough?

As levels don`t matter for a member I don`t really see the point of it.

Giving color priority to the older player, not the level. That would encourage customer loyalty and discourage these lottery games.

One thing I would like to add:

More flexible/usefull vacations
Give members 70 days of vacation, instead of 7 vacations of 10 days. This will make it more flexible when you go out for a weekend or something. If you can`t do that than at least change it from 7 vacation of 10 days to 6 of 14 days or something. I don`t know how things are in the US, but here it is pretty common to go on vacation for 2 weeks. If you don`t have internet, putting up a vacation of 10 days is useless. But 14 days max (or maybe 15) seems better than 10 days. Although I would rather have the "X amount of days" option for the members.

I agree with everything JSA said on the fourth page, with a single exception: As far as unique names, I think that it would be a good idea starting now. That is, current players don't get their name jacked, and a member changing their name doesn't kick other players out, but new players and name changes cannot be to anything a member has (unless you are a member).

Also, this may be an obvious question, but will current members receive any of these perks should they be implemented?

I would hope current members get the same perks. Otherwise it is overlooking a lot of people who donated to WL (some more than once).

If we have a committment of $5,000 in coins I can guarantee we will get that feature made within a month.

i do not like this. what if wealthy players get together and form a political party to monopolize update funding? looking at america's results, we would all be screwed. . .

A "max players" setting who can join,
so a premium player can set it to 6, then invite 12 players,

I couldn't read everything that has come before - just way too much, so forgive me if any of these are redundant.

*I do not like the idea of reserved names, unless the user names already in use are grandfathered. It's of no consequence to me, as my username is fairly unique, and also I am a member, but it just seems wrong to force someone to change the name they've played with for years.
*I very much miss the Open Games Tab, and the ability to filter out lottery games
*I think members also could be given the ability to create open tournaments without coins (possibly limit it to one tournament at a time per member, with a cap on the total number of unfilled open tournaments at any given time - maybe 25 or 50?)
*I would like members to be able to change names twice per year at no charge, regardless of level.
*I would also like to see a filter in the Forums, so that those who are BL by the creator of the Forum thread cannot see it or comment on it.

what i would like to see is members voting on new features.

uservoice already exists but i don't feel like my votes there matter much to warlight devs. having so many high voted feature requests ignored/refused (like the anonymous games for example).

i would like my paid membership to actually influence roadmap priorities.
