These maps are all equally poor. Voted Hexagon for a pretty fair map.

Syria, are you kidding me? Despite its overrated rating Syria is overly unbalanced and surely not usefull when it comes to strategical gameplay. It lacks problematic issues just read the reviews on the map's page.

Therefore I voted for Hexagon due its many advances in single player when you have to take it on against AI's which is more challenging than any other map.

It's Greater Middle East for me, but this week isn't great, to be honest.

I voted Azeroth because of all team tourney on this map. It is less strategical than Normal Earth.

I think is very poor suited for one on one for strategic gameplay. A little boring because of the two islands. The custom distribution forces fight in the middle island and invading each other.

King (Belgium Gentleman)-

I am kind of surprised where Syria went with its rating, and am actually very surprised to see it in voting for the map of week right now. I just got back from a vacation and whoa! There it is! I think the reason why people might be interested in the map is because of the civil war there. I attribute it to nothing else. Like I said in the reply to your review, I am still yet a rookie in the mapmaking department, and it will take a lot of time to be able to naturally make a truly balanced map.

I plan on updating the map to make it better strategically and also plan to add scenarios in the future based on the Syrian Civil war. Also, if I get enough support, I might add bonuses which reflect the civil war, although those might be more appropriate in a different map context. I will see what will happen... I am about to start college, so my time will continue to be limited on working on these projects.

i found out that good number of territories for map of the week settings is anithing less than 300. With big maps such as we have this week, ppl lose the interest to them after a few games, coz it takes too long to play every game. After all only unexperienced players play them and this makes things even worse.

I dont know, why do ppl vote for big maps, but i am sure, that fizzer has stats that can prove my point.

Good map of the week example was Renaissance Italy(150 big) when ppl even stoped playing RoR maps and everyone switched to the MotW games.

Possible solution to this could be
1. different settings for bigger maps, like more players, or less neutals and so on.
2. territory limit for the map included to the voting list
3. adding more Map of the Week voting, like there could be voting for the big map (>700 territory), for the midrange(300-700), and for the smaller(<300) all of them having different settings.

What do you think guys?
