Nothing strategic about 8vs8, more like trying to play a game while babysitting.

Airlift, Light Fog, 16% WR, Wastelands of 5, Only 1 pick.

Looks like a horrid template.

Didnt ignore it, I just cant open links on my phone ill look at it after work.

Airlifting is necessary in team games in my opinion

Light fog is fine because your going to see most of the map anyways with 8 people in your team.

Luck is the same as the 2 vs 2 ladder

Its 5 wastelands of 10

Its only 1 pick because again you have 8 people on your team

About half of those issues seem like they'd stem from being confined on a very small map. The hardest part about designing a good strategic template is finding a decent map to work with.

I hate airlifts and abandons. They are get out of jail cards for poor picking and moves. Light fog is less strategic for sure.

You need 3 picks at least IMO. If that makes it too cluttered reduce the players or find another map

No benjamin, for a 15 vs 15 game a much bigger map is needed, the link is about europe 1066 map, an excellent map where sea territories are very realistic, (bordering many in-land territories).

Now the way I was thinking when I was creating the template:

1. About the move order. Since there are too many platers, random move order might make some players plead for first move, on the other hand No-Luck-Cycle makes it more even for both teams (In my opinion). And since it is NLC I haven't added Order Priority and Order Delay cards.

2. The map is consisted of 956 territories and with random warlords distribution around 290 territories are being distributed, 90 will be taken by the participants, and there will be 30 wastelands (11 armies each)
-Note that some bonuses are not even 2armies for 2territories, 3/3 even 4/4

3. Cards
-Reienforcement 30 pieces for 3 armies, +3in a team of 15every two turns makes a little difference
-Spy 60 pieces, still the amount of players and the fact there are super bonuses with too many territories made me include spy card and exclude surveillance
-Abandon card 60 pieces 250% multiplier, I can see your point Chris but abandon spices things a little bit :D maybe it needs to be in 90 or 120 pieces
-Gift 90 pieces
-Diplomacy 75 pieces for three turns
-Sanctions 105 (7 turns) reducing to 50% of their income
-Blockade 90 pieces 400% multiplier

I've not tested it ATM, but, in my mind, it should be good.

About DanWL's template:
Without saying it's worthless, I highly doubt the Big World Map is really a good map for a 8v8 template. It is simply not equilibrated. For example, madagascar is worth 5 for 6, plus it's part of the huge africa bonus (worth 50), while a bonus like saudi arabia is worth 6 for 12 territories and is part of the Asian bonus, nearly impossible to get in 8v8.

About the template's settings, I agree with making it no luck and SR, but I think that if you are going to use priority and delay cards, you are better to make it random move order.
Also, I don't like the idea of adding only 5 wastelands in a map of +700 territories. About the blockade cards, I do think they are really important but you divided the cards into 152, meaning it would require 19 turns (supposing all teamates took a territory every turn) to get a single card. In other words, yes for blockades, but divide the card in way less parts. The same comment about how many pieces to divide into applies to the other cards used. Also, for the recruitment card, 5 armies is really really low. That will be under 1/50 of what each team should have about turn 15. the recruitment card can be a really good strategic tool, and ''making sure to take a territory in order to get a card piece'' is generally an important aspect of strategic templates, reasons why a 5 army recruitment card seems to make little sense here.
About Glamorous' template:
RoR definitely seems to small to me. While this may have the upside of leading to quick interaction between the teams, It will also 1. increase the impact of the player's luck during picking, 2. put some players in situations where they Have to make a move based on luck and hope (for ex. choose to attack A or B and have a 50% chance of surviving, regardless of their skills) , while they did nothing wrong and simply got a bad starting position and 3. it nearly totaly excludes the importance of managing leftovers since there are nearly no bonus to be taken from neutrals and really little expension. Also, about the template itself, it seems to me that no cards in a 8v8 game is to exclude an important part of strategy and makes the game more based on luck of picks and attacks and less based on thinking and skills.
This was simply my humble opinion and apologies for the bad english.

@platinum - don't check it exactly, but you should definitely do something with cards.
team can hold 3 cards, but every team (assuming every player get a card piece)
will get:
1 blockade
2.667 recon
0.625 OD
0.625 OP
per turn. There will be a lot of discarding
