Let me give you a little glimpse into my life:

90% of my warlight time is while I'm at work. My job involves a lot of file transfers and stuff that tie up my work station for a bit, leaving me with nothing to do except plow some games on my phone. I end up joining a ton of games to fill the gap, most of which have 1 day boots. During the week, this is the perfect speed for me, as I've always maintained that the standard 3 day turns are too slow. However, I'll concede that the one advantage of 3 day boots is the ability to ignore warlight on the weekends.

I think it would be cool to have some kind of weekend mode, where the boot timer stops on Friday afternoon and doesn't start again until Monday morning. That way people on my type of schedule can play during down time without having to sacrifice free time.

My other thought was possibly updating vacations so that you have a total number of "vacation days" to use instead of just 10 total vacations where 1 day uses just as much "vacation time" as 10 days.

Aslong as the weekend "mode" can apply in different timezones that will pull out any problems.

Just play direct boot at 1 day and auto boot at 3 days and agree to play during the week and not on the weekends. I don't see why Fizzer has to make an update to fit your niche schedule when boot settings can be tampered with.

In all fairness.. Weekdays = Work. (Which is the opportunity to play Warlight)


Weekend = Life takes place.. Your outside with family/friends..

Because if I join a game with 1 day direct boots and 3 day auto boots, I expect to be booted at 1 day without warning. This way that worry doesn't exist

Yeah, so you do 3 day boot in order to play on Friday then come back Monday and continue playing. It already exists. If you're unhappy with that, then do what I said above.

But you suggested 1 day direct. That means you're gonna be booted at 1 day (or you potentially could without warning)

He is saying make an agreement with the people playing that you won't boot on weekends but on weekdays the boot timer will work. You could just always play with the extended boot timer at 3 day auto. Even though this may be a bit slow for you I don't see why that is such a problem.

@Platinum as far as time zones go, I thought it could be something like, if weekend mode is on, the boot timer stops at midnight on Friday night and starts again midnight on Sunday night.

So for example if at 11pm on Friday it has been your turn for 10 hours, on Sunday at 1am it would be as if it had been your turn for 12 hours.

I agree with Queef this would be a great addition to warlight. I prefer 1 day boots but I hate playing on the weekend.

Do you honestly trust everyone you play with to agree to that? Seems unreasonable to ask someone to do that

Remind me what the fun is in booting people again? You just said you'd like it if you didn't have to play on the weekend, and now you're saying you'd boot people if they didn't play on the weekend?

I am the same way (play sparingly on weekends), but I only play 3 day boot and it isn't a problem.

But I do think vacations should be total number of days, and not X number of vacations that could be weeks long.

I hate to agree with Queef, because I hate him, but this is actually a really good idea.

I live for the weekend... That's when I have time.

Lots of players are students still, they have classes every day so they can't play as often. In fact I account sit for a friend Mon-Fri and he plays on the weekends (only for this first month of school I think).

The working user base just isn't large enough to implement this. (plus I think it's dumb.... Just change boot settings or play with people you trust....)

So you have a percentage of how many people go to school and how many people work for a living? There is no viable reason not to have this as a setting. I've said this before the best part of this game is the customizability. What works for some people may not work for others, but thats not a reason to dispel it. Everyone on here is so close minded to every new concept.

Poonsquad if you don't want to play anything over 1 day bootrate and can't play on weekends search someone from your clan who takes turns for you on weekends

Simple solution to this.

3 day autoboot. Voila. Problem solved
