Your point about using clinical terms outside of their context falls short. Less than one fourth is genetics, you can be *mentally* behind emotionally if you had abusive parents. It can be also the case with intellectually if you lived in the forest because you were abandoned. This case is called "L'Enfant sauvage".

What in the hell has happened to this thread? We were supposed to be criticizing the Poon Squad, then someone said the word "retard" can't be used as an insult, now we're discussing slaughtering the mentally disabled?! I'm purely shocked and disturbed.

I can defend someone using "retard" as an insult, I can't in anyway defend somebody advocating genocide on people with disabilities. How did the former even lead into the latter?!

Retards, or the physically and mentally disabled, do not contribute to society. We are forced to pay taxes to take care of these people, and they give us nothing in return. Therefore, our best option would be to exterminate them. I may sound extreme, but I am completely serious. Don't look at this through a purely emotional lens, please; try to understand the logic behind this argument.

This would also prevent people with disabilities from having children with disabilities, further degrading the gene pool. We need to purify our gene pool.

I really hope you're doing some kind of sick satire. This is a page straight out of Adolf Hitler's mind. It's such a horrifying concept I'm not even sure what to say to you. Surely you can't truly believe that's the right thing to do?

Another clever physicist was Albert Einstein. He could stand up quite well. Let's face it, there's a wheelchair person involved in just about everything. It's mathematically impossible that someone in a wheelchair would not eventually be a scholar or physicist. So, pointing at Hawking is invalid. I'm not discrediting him, I'm arguing your stance that the disabled do apparently contribute. But not because i disagree, because you pulled out Stephen hawking and not the real average wheelchair person. Basically, it's very ignorant of both of you. God damn this thread is just awful.

I wouldn't declare myself to be average. Most people do not have deep thoughts (or think critically), most people don't have encyclopedic memories about many subjects and most people do not research history or warfare. On average, people are only considering their love interest, can only remember what they had breakfast this morning and flunked algebra.

That is pessimistic. Or cynic.

I've considered venturing into comedy several times. The problem is that I'd like to go over several unrelated topics, but i can only fit so many into one act, i only have so much material for any subject and at best I'll have 20 - 30 mins on the stage (10 would be realistic).

Well, I'm not very optimistic today. In fact, I've been very angry over the past 2 weeks, so excuse my feelings. Not trying to be onry, and if i came off that way, then i just explained why.

This is true knyte. But I'm in the middle class. On average, people aren't in the middle class.

In any case, if you're above average for a non-wheelchair person that only makes my case stronger.
