I know Hauptmann, I know. Thanks for your interpretation. Was going to put myself in my profile picture but then it occurred to me that nobody actually cared. Just picture a "scrawny computer guy" as Gui put it so artfully.

The following Aranka quotes are drawn from a single tournament chat:

"grating"

"naive and arrogant"

"hypocritical"

"just give it a break with your holier then thy attitude"

"As a final note with regards to the hypocrisy: Your statement of going to the finals which in itself is quite galling and ludicrious is made so much worse by the fact that you are not even the best player in the field by a long shot. Anyway, I'm not going to bother with such warped moral warriors as yourself"

"I really wonder what class you went to"

"If people try hard enough I think they could make a discussion out of everything......"

Yikes. I think I am definitely missing some Aranka quotes I accidentally deleted, but cannot find now. Don't remember the thread I got those from.

Bonus un-self-aware Aranka:

"*Sighs* Trolls will keep on talking *sigh*"

"I'll leave myself to do the talking ingame..."

Thanks Miyagi.

william faulkner:

“Let me repeat. I have not read all the work of this present generation of [forum posters]. I have not had time yet. So I must speak only of the ones I do know. I am thinking now of [who] I rate the best one, [x], perhaps because this one expresses so completely what I have tried to say. A youth, father to what will — must — someday be a man, more intelligent than some and more sensitive than most, who — he would not even have called it by instinct, because he did not know he possessed it, because God perhaps had put it there, loved man and wished to be a part of mankind, humanity, who tried to join the human race and failed. To me, his tragedy was not that he was, as he perhaps thought, not tough enough or brave enough or deserving enough to be accepted into humanity. His tragedy was that when he attempted to enter the human race, there was no human race there. There was nothing for him to do save buzz, frantic and inviolate, inside the glass wall of his tumbler, until he either gave up or was himself, by himself, by his own frantic buzzing, destroyed.”

thanks faulkner, i'm trying to give up the buzzing.

I know some of you will find this surprising, but I actually never got angry with x. The rest of you people take things way too personally. That being said, X generally had revolting opinions articulated in a dry brit wit... it was like putting lemon juice onto a warhead. I'm just personally glad that my eyes do not have taste buds to experience such a thing.
