I've never seen filling a tournament that fastly! Fizzers system for open games seems to pay out for once

This is where Fizzer deserves his credit.

Great Advertisement of this tournament in the Dashboard which has really gotten everyone involved instead of the "Community people" which takes this tournament ages to fill...

Tournaments like this will prosper due to the dashboard.

I guess HHH king of earth 1v1 will probably win this tournament.

Same here.

Fizzer stickied this thread on the dashboard (since he has joined I guess :-P).
Advertisement is the key to success. Other private tournaments don't have such a privilege. ;-)
People, use every means to get Fizzer to join next time, and your tournament will prosper in no time. He has the magic power. Haha :-D

P.S. I think Fizzer should let people create non-coin open tournaments and advertise them on the open games board.

"Other private tournaments don't have such a privilege."

Also they don't cost anything to create...

I am "effectively" paying for the advertising of this tournament with coins. Anyone can do it, and it doesn't cost that much really. The only reason this is so popular is because it is free entry and with a prize. Which I did deliberately so everyone feels included. Newer players join because it's free and "why not" and the veteran players join because they have a shot at some free coins.

There is always at least one open tournament up that was free to create, the one that was recently made is here:
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer/Tournament?ID=15563

To make it free for the creator there is a 50 coin entry fee, that's the only difference really between this tournament and mine.

Anyway, I really hate to talk about this sort of thing with the tournament about to start, hopefully this will clear it up for good though. Let's just enjoy the tournament huh? Good luck everyone and remember to have fun :)

not always, but usually there are (was) one.

And that's not true, you can't create double-elim as 'free to create'.
Note that such tourneys are also restricted to max 32 players.

I was talking about the privilege of having Fizzer stickying your tournament thread. You attracted Fizzer to join. Only you can do it. (Yes I admit I'm jealous :-P).

(Take it easy. It is not meant to be a serious discussion.)

I still wish people can create non-coin open tournaments and advertise them on the open games board. Coin games don't really attract people. There is still an open coin tournament which remains at 18 space left after many days.

I don't think prize is the deciding factor although it helps. I joined because this gives me a golden chance to play against different players all over the world, and is free to join. Prize does not really matter to me. I would still join if it were a non-coin tournament.

Is anyone else who could not have joined otherwise if there were no prize? I'm interested to know.

Thank you for organizing such a good tournament. I'm very much appreciated. :-)

Fizzer joined because I'm so attractive. He couldn't resist me.

You can make a tournament with free entry and no prize. I could have done that with this tournament but I did so for the above reason.

Also you're welcome.

Actually, thinking about it, would anyone want to comment on the tournament in a live stream? I was thinking about doing it, would anyone want to join me? Or maybe it's not worth it? I dunno :P

you mean picking out some good games and discuss them? szeweningen and gnuffone do that on warlight strategic Corner from time to time (lately they were active). maybe you ask them to join?

Yeah, that's what I mean, obviously once most of the first round is over :)

I've noticed that Gnuffone is in the tournament, so he might be someone to ask. Sephiroth is in it too, but szeweningen isn't. He might still be interested though, I might PM them about it :)

i think just discussing the first round for the sake that the first round has been discussed isn't very interesting. if you take the work and go trough some games and save some interesting ones, the chances that some of them will be discussed in next strategic Corner are not bad
