I'm new round this part of the internet, but I came from a place where mafia was the thing to do in forums. The game to play when you weren't doing anything else in other words.
I was wondering how many people here know how to play mafia/would like to play mafia. Since this community is clearly full of left brain dominant, calculating people, it seems like this is the sort of game that would work well.
The premise: an informed minority with the ability to communicate to each other during the night phase, killing off the uninformed majority one by one. The majority need to execute one player each day phase, and use the rest of the day phase to deduce who the mafia are.
In the event of people interested, I'd happily mod a game or two. Please reply to indicate your interest if you would like to play.
I have played a game called mafia before but idk if this is what he is thinking of. (will probably be similar though)
so a certain number of players are the "mafia" and they know who each other are. they can decide to kill one person each night
then another amount of players are "detectives" who have gone into hiding so the mafia. they also know each other are and they decide to investigate one person, and then they would figure out if that person is a part of the mafia or not.
everyone is idk the jury? everyday the people vote to kill someone off (Mafia members and Detectives get votes too).
the version i played was probably really simplified so his version might have more roles ... or i could be totally wrong.
