Don't you hate playing on big maps sometimes? Too big.. Countless clicks... You feel as if you are working rather than enjoying.

Solution : The AI Makes their turns in 2.823 seconds! Now what if we have a button saying "Random Orders" Where the AI Does the order of moves... Where the User will have to commit... Making changes where needs be! This would be unavailable in ladders.

Any thoughts? Random Idea lets discuss below!

AI sucks like hell, so you will end up deleting their orders and doing it yourself. You just can't let them handle your orders.

They deserve losing if they are stupid enough to use it in a ladder game. LOL

What you really need is a set of predefined orders, so you can sumbit them in one click.

It's more annoying when playing in real time, imo, because you have to be quick about it. It gets even more stressful when you have only... say like... 2 minutes or so to commit orders otherwise you get booted. And you'd lucky to be able to modify your orders after clicking the commit button.

But that's just from my own personal experiences and thoughts

When I'm playing a multiday game I find it's far better because at least there enough time to strategize and think the attacks through.

It could be interesting to be able to "hand off" your orders to an AI.

You can do this already if you "surrender" and you have created the game with the possibility to "take over from the AI" multiple times.

However, what would make it really handy is if you could *modify* the AI's orders. Particularly in a local deployment game, you could let the AI handle the deployment and then add your own attack orders (by modifying what the AI was doing).

To add to this, it would be a good idea I think to add an API to WarLight that would let a program access map data (e.g. the map structure, where armies are, history, etc.), obviously with fog and other restrictions still in place. The program would also have to be able to submit orders. That would make it possible for custom-made AIs such as those from the AI games to make their way into WarLight.

This would solve the above problem as well, since you could just run the AI on the current game and have it make your moves for you, and then edit them as necessary. It would also have the advantage that the AI would actually be decent, unlike the current WarLight AI which is very weak. Obviously there would be challenges involved in building the AI to support, e.g., team games and local deployment, but it could be made to work.
