When scrolling through the map list, it seems all my maps are aligned to the left rather than centered (see 'Mosaic Madness' or 'Götterdämmerung' for example) - why is that?
Has it something to do with the map size? width/height ratio?

I agree with crafty - the first thing you should check is that the map is centered in the SVG. Inkscape puts a gray box around the usable space in the map, and this is the box that WarLight centers on. You can change the dimensions of this box under Document Properties.

I'll look into it, though I could swear all was centered in the grey box in Inkscape.

Copying everything to an empty Inkscape file did the trick, all centered now.
