This is about as close as you can come to creating puzzles in this game. This is a series where you are up against multiple AI where you are in a tight spot. Your goal of course is to work yourself out of the situation, and find a way to steal the victory from the incredibly stupid AI. It is brains versus brawns. Will you be able to work yourself out of the hole?

In a Hole #1 (Easy - 4 AI) - Medium Earth
https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?TemplateID=725323

You are player A. You are trying to hold off Player B from taking you out of this game by breaking your only bonus. Players C and D however are the ones in control, but are too busy trying to take each other out to attack the other players heavily as of now. Player E is also barely getting by, but he is all alone at the moment. Can you, Player A, get out of this hole, and win the match?

In a Hole #2 (Medium - 3 AI) - Dual Islands
https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?TemplateID=725343

You have been caught in the middle of the crossfire. Players B and C are fighting for control of the match, controlling almost all of the rest of these island. B and C have already written both you and D out, because of how thin the thread is that you are hanging on. Can you find a weakness, expand into a superpower, and control the dual islands?

In a Hole #3 (Hard - 7 AI) - Europe
https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?TemplateID=725348

You own Finland. That's the only good news you have. Overwhelmed by the guys complaining that they are being overwhelmed in the chat. The fog has rolled in, so you are limited in the information that you have. From everything you've heard, this seems to be a three horse race, but you are more focused on surviving at the moment. Keeping Finland is your biggest concern right now.

BEFORE PLAYING...

  • Make yourself slot A
  • Fill every remaining slot with AI

Depending on the feedback, I may make more of these. One thing to note is that none of these challenges let you gather card pieces and then receive cards you did not have in the beginning. The main reason here is because the AI can't use cards, and they are meant to give you a tactical advantage that you have to know when is best to use. Each one of these has been tested, and are all possible.

Nice work! I'll give it a go soon. Single player games were my favourite when I first got started. I must have played the crazy level a hundred times before I got the gold star :P

Yeah, these challenges were fun. I managed to win all three of them (didn't keep track of number of turns though). #1 was pretty easy, #2 mostly depends on whether the AIs attack you or each other more in the beginning, and #3 was quite difficult. I managed to win after 55 turns:

I might try making some just to try my hand as well. I'm liking the hypothesis of this.

first is easy, 2nd depends heavily on opponent moves.
3rd is basically impassable. After 7 turns, AI in Spain controls 3/4 of the map, while you with a bit of luck can hold ~15 income

What Python showed on a diagram, is different template (with 6 AI's)

But idea is interesting

Scenario 3 is possible, I managed to win on second try - depended on the opponents, the three big ones fought against each other from the start and I wasn't attacked early on. So I got Northwestern Russia and marched down the whole east from there.

@Latnox, the reason you probably thought the graph showed 6 AI and Python was because you only saw seven boxes checked (the seventh AI was at the bottom). And if you look hard into the actual graph, there are five colours at the bottom and three at the top (you may actually need to zoom in quite a bit).

Nice idea! I enjoyed playing these.

Not quite sure why everyone is saying that 3 is so hard; the trick is to bait the UK player into a border standoff with you/occasionally take Britain from them for a turn or two before retreating, so that they can't gobble up everything below them, while you push out into Germany/Russia. Finished it in 24 turns on the first try (forgot to take a screenshot and apparently SP games don't autosave, doh!)

Edit: I appear to have goofed when setting that template up, which may account for how easy I found it first time around. Will try it with double-checked settings later.

Very surprised to get it in one try. NW Russia by Turn 6 is crucial.

Am I doing something wrong? I have to manually correct the templates to the right number of A.Is/slots each time, which is really annoying.

You have to because warlight makes it a 4-player FFA, with slots determined randomly in single player mode automatically.
