Why is there so few players in 1 vs 1 ladder ?


I am getting random players now and bound to lose with my triple strategy tactics.

^ The new template remove wr and changed it to sr and now has cyclic orders. Some reasons why the change is bad is that it removes risk management, too fast of an expansion, and makes the opening too calculative.

That's incorrect.

The template utilizes many picking styles and strategies that allows any player to play effectively.

Strategies, such as picking East Russia, West US and Greenland. Or, West US, East Russia and Greenland. Or, West US, Greenland and Australia. Or, Greenland, Australia and East Russia. Or Australia, West US and East Russia.

Such a wide variety of picking styles and gameplay where 3v2 will never fail; you will never again be bored. Truly, much more exciting than that old piece of junk that was shamefully called "Strategic 1v1." What a joke.

I like the new map. However, the 3v2 never fails will sometimes give the first picker a big advantage due to the faster expansions. In the old template, I actually feel that the bigger territories are better since they are not attacked until later in the game.

West US still has 7 territories, by the way :P

On the other hand doesn't that mean a double-pick West China now works?

AWESOMEGUY's post is incredibly smart. If Fizzer counted WR vs SR in this thread, he would put AWESOMEGUY as pro-SR (selection bias). But alas, that post was sarcastic.

It isn't that bad of a template if you have time and patience to do the necessary accounting work. I went from a sure win (if I did the accounting work) to a 20-30% chance of winning because I was too fatigued from work. I should have just not.taken my turn that day.

Why is the seasonal ladder so populated? Because strat 1vs1 is with wr. Everything else is just a cheap, failed copy.

i am sure in long term lot of players will re join.

for me only if long-term includes a change back into WR

there are 387 players joined in 1v1 ladder. more or less the same number of before change.
so...
also there 263 players in seasonal ladder, more or less the same numbers of the pasts season...

so please don't try to manipulate numbers for make people believe it.
1v1 ladder will never change back!
