^Or, he wants to enter the Nations cup.

And now, searching by 'flag' is not possible :(
In the past 'recruitment games' or forum posts was the way to find players.

No way to search that I know of. Tenshi (in my clan) and Eman (from AHol) are from there.

There are quite a few in here also:

You can sort through all players who're in a clan, have competed in a ladder, or have posted on a forum and find the Argentines if you know some very basic web scraping.

Well, all you need to do is programme something that would, from being on the clans page (https://www.warlight.net/Clans/List). I assume this:

1. Open all the links right of a bullet point.
2. Open all the links in the table.
3: See what flag attribute it is and record it.

And I assume would take 0.5-2 hours to learn how to do from knowing no programming. knyte can confirm/deny.

@Kapy- yeah, not too much effort if you're willing to pick up Scrapy and figure out some basic Python. Not sure if it's just 0.5-2h if you're completely new to programming but it's pretty straightforward if you:

a. can understand basic concepts like variables and functions, and

b. can figure out what steps you'd take (click "View Source" and see what you'd do) and how to turn them into code

Where do you get the source for "all players who're in a clan, have competed in a ladder, or have posted on a forum" I'm not sure if I'm just being thick, but I'm not sure where that info would come from...?

After that is it just a simple parse or do you need to extract information from individual player profiles?

Edit: Found "country played from" on the profile source, it's on line 284 of the code and looks easy enough to extract, are you saying it would need to be taken from every profile, or is there somewhere that there is a player database?

Edit 2: Oooh, I didn't realise Scrapy was a program, ok, that makes it a lot easier then, woot! Time to think about Pythoning possibly sometime soon perhaps maybe :)

You'd just write a script to scrape the clan pages, the forums, the ladders, and anywhere else on the site where player activity is evident (you could just crawl a bunch of pages and check for URLs to player pages and store everything there, but it all depends on how slow/thorough you want your script to be).

After that is it just a simple parse or do you need to extract information from individual player profiles?

You'd have to extract from individual profiles. This would be a rather slow process, and I'd recommend storing that information so you can conduct further analysis without having to recapture it.

Don't rely on the line number. I'd recommend parsing the HTML (Scrapy handles this for you). Watch out for weird edge cases.
