Ok, so I tried to make a middle east map, and a lot of people got very excited for it, but there is no denying the fact that the map is not very top quality, some bonuses overlap and most territories do, but I've never been one to disappoint, so I'm starting afresh, completely new. But...it will most probably have exactly the same territories, just...it'll be better. Hopefully.

And the new one will be linked soon:

You've deleted the map and we cannot see the original.

Stop making so many maps, just make one good one, instead of 5 mediocre.

I think all of them will be good in time,
but yes, it's good to focus on one map at a time...

lest your head start spinning. :-/

Best of luck, mate.

I know that you can do it. :)

Ah I don't bother as the same story went for me .
My first maps were also a bit of a downsider. I remember my first one where I spent 3 months on. It depicted a Belgium map with over 550 territories in its adminstrative boundaries.

I drew the territories (communes) entirely by hand. Yes you've heard it correct, not by dividing bigger ones into more paths but each by hand. Every 583 single one of them! I did the same thing for European Union 2013 & Iceland. This is the reason why these territories overlap so much, just because I didn't use any other tool rather than drawing.
Later I found out on the map development forum that you could outset and inset your territories by preferences and that there was a division tool for something. Thank you Moros!

It's always great to post your problems or tutorials on this forum. You could help any rookie mapmaker and they'll be grateful. The wiki is sometimes too much of chinese to some to understand. Maybe if we had more video tutorials...

But don't give up ! Don't listen to what Infection says. Your maps aren't the best, I know but these are steps to improve! Improving your skills means more quality. You can understand a lot by learning your mistakes or faults.

Like Belgian says, don't give up - but do just focus on making one map you feel proud of instead of 5 that probably will be played 5 times by each year.

It is true that I might be spreading myself too thin and trying to make more maps than I am capable of, so I've decided to keep my other maps on the go but to put all my focus in this middle east map because it is by far the most anticipated one, so here we are...It's still in it's very early stages and will take a while yet because I want to add in all lakes to make it more realistic. Here it is so far.

I've decided to add three cities which are Cairo, Tehran and Istanbul as they are the most populous in the middle east, do you think this is a good idea or not, and how do you think the map is going guys, feel free to criticize as it helps.
