I can't believe I'm actually doing this, but I have absolutely nothing better to do and anime is the easiest form of entertainment to pira-- watch. None of that mainstream stuff, I've already seen them. Underrated and overlooked, please.

Knights of Sidonia. Its one of the best anime Ive ever seen and I hear very little about it. Mankind was driven from earth is "seed ships" by an unknown alien race. Sidonia is one of these seed ships. Its technically a mecha anime but its a good one. I would highly recommend it to anybody.

Break Blade is another good mecha anime. Set in a fictional world where three major kingdoms go at eachither for control of the continent they all share. This is yet another I hear very little about.

Both have great artwork and awesome action with an actual plot. Not just boobs.

It's not anime, but Robin Hood: Men in tights is a really good film, and my film buff friend had never heard of it before. Also try dailymotion for movies (and porn) they have far less restrictions than youtube.

Seriously thought
only watched about 25 animu's ever (read more manga) but the least well known one I watched was full metal panic so if you haven't heard of that its fairly good. All you got to say is giant robots init. (can someone say how well know that is cause don't have the foggiest)

Full Metal Panic is an anime that comes to mind when someone says "mecha." It would probably be within the top 10 or 15 known mecha anime.

Ahh well a* for effort I guess. How good is girls and panzers had it recommend a few times and wanna watch it but wonder what this thread thought of it.

when some one says mecha i think gundam or gurren lagann.

what about gun x sword i think is the name I thought is was good.it's Like some cowboy mecha anime.
