A nervous and somewhat subdued townspeople gathered outside the doors of the village cathedral, awaiting the commencement of the day's trials. The night had been sleepless and unforgiving for each of them. Guilt and regret hung thick in the frigid air over them, as they recounted how they had so mercilessly ended the life of one of their own.
"Is that everyone?" Asked the Mayor in a defeated tone.
"Where is New Luna?" One of them called.
"It's not like him to be late."
A series of looks were exchange between the townspeople.
"No... No it can't be!"
A few of the townspeople broke off from the group and darted towards the residence of New Luna. Sobs broke out amongst the townspeople who stood motionless outside the doors of the cathedral. Their will to survive was slowly showing the signs of breaking.

"He's not there!" Cried the townspeople who had ran to investigate New Luna.
"He's What?!" Called the Mayor.
The sobs and cries of the distraught townspeople abruptly ceased, seizing the hope that had been extended to them.
"He.. He's not in his house at all." Puffed one of the townsmen.
"And his house is in order, no signs of struggle."

"Well where is he??" Demanded the mayor.
"I'm not sure, but since he isn't dead, we might as well start the trials and wait for him to show up."
A rapturous affirmation rippled through the gathering.
"Very well. Let us begin the day."

The Mighty Cathedral doors swung open, it's deep moaning scream foreshadowing the inevitable result of the day. The townspeople froze and stiffened. There, above the alter upon the cross, was the crucified body of New Luna Republic.

okay so we already know that the mafia can change dead roles. and lets look at the fact that we hanged Diadochi so he wouldn't get a night action so then therefore there would be no mortician report. also I think diadochi role was town mute (or anything else to where he couldn't talk).
