I was going to make a new tourney with local deployment but it seems it's the one thing members don't have unlocked. Given that 99% of my games were played years ago, I don't have the levels to unlock it. It seems strange that the people that started after this new leveling system and play for free are getting this while many of the old school players like myself with hundreds of games played, are unable to use the feature.

Not a big deal, just annoying, and I wasted half an hour for nothing since I just noticed I don't have it unlocked.

All I can say is, fml.

Just wait for another 15 levels. I know it's unlocked at level 49. I wish you good courage.

well i say ready and waiting but i just found out yesterday that you need to remove all the super/mega bonuses before you can create a LD game.

can you confirm this is the case Noob?

Yes, there can be no overlapping bonuses at all for Local Deployment to work.

Do they need to be actually removed from the map, or just set to "0" for it to work?

well im hoping just set to zero but until i get to L49 i couldn't say for sure

can you imagine how annoying it would be on a big map? You having to select every bonus and add armies to it, even bonuses deep in your regions.

@ dazed, let me know if you'd like me to set anything up. I've been checking out local deployment and from what I gather the games take twice as long as normal. even if you have the game in hand your opponent won't know till you finally come across the entire map and surround him/her. but a lot of fun for the player who knows the game is in hand and just trying to push through and get the other player to surrender.
