I don't care either way, pm's on or off, just different styles of play are required for each, especially in a mass ffa.

I'd play if you don't mind the fact that I only have slightly over 300 games played total. The count goes up slowly because I try and make sure not to burn myself out by playing 20 games at once, and I don't like real-time games. Been playing for almost 2 years now, though, and I'm one of only 3 players remaining in a quad-earth full distribution 24 player game so I've some experience in the map heheh :)

No big deal if not, anyways. PM's on would be my preference, but I'll shamelessly arrange alliances in public chat otherwise, oldschool style.

On multi-day games, it is easy to circumvent the PMs off rule. I can easily create a game inviting someone I want to make an alliance with and work the diplomacy that way.

Or, I will just use the open chat to form alliances.

I never use other forms of communication to do anything in game.. If i'm going to make a treaty in a non-pm game, i do it in public chat, unless it is explicitly stated in the settings not to do that.

and the reason alot of the WL vet's don't play open games is cause there is a certain honor required in many of the games we play...
