My beginning <2.0

2012, I saw some people playing warlight at school. Asked about it and then I beat them, even though they'd been playing for months they still sucked.

took a long break in 2013, got booted from a shit-ton of games as a result
Made Nogals in 2014 and continued playing.

got some friends into warlight but they all left. So its just me, and I see a few other South Africans now and then.

I started on the 4th of June with a few friends after we all played the PC app for a year, but they've all left (they claimed to have forgotten about it) and now it's just me

According to this Belgian statistic a surprisingly 49.7% of Warlight visitors are from the United States.

Changing the American standard to the universal standard is not needed as Americans and Canadians combined already have a majority in Warlight traffic so it would be too controversial.

There came the moment where all the other games got a bit boring and I wanted to try something new. Then I remembered an ad from Kongregate where Warlight was shown... and I really wanted something similar like it. So I've gone for it and played on the Kong single player version for a few weeks. But it wasn't enough... so I came to the main site, only to realize I can't create custom scenarios here, nor even invite as many AI's as I could have in the Kong version. I was pissed off and went back to the single player version on Kong. But I kinda wanted to try MP. So I actually went to the main WL site and joined a diplomacy. And thought "This is amazing. I wish I could create more of these myself" (even though I was booted and if I wouldn't have been, I would've been PE :p)

And then I forgot about it and came back a few months later. And I just couldn't leave anymore (well, except for this little period of inactivity in spring/summer 2015 *cough*)

I actually got Risk given to me as a present, and got hooked. Then, one day whilst procrastinating, I searched 'Risk' into the Google App Store, and WarLight was one of the first results. At first, I played loads of FFAs, but then I discovered diplos and I have never managed to prevent myself from playing since. I didn't realise there was a website for the game until someone in-game told me a few months later.

The same happened to me on 10/30/2013... Well, a month before or so, but I joined that day. Somehow I am still addicted as the first day, thanks Fizzer for this.

Not sure which version that was; I'm pretty sure most of today's features were around back then.

8/8/2013 - luckily that's one the 12 days of the years that's same in both correct and American dates.
