They're super vague about their roadmap because they don't want to make a promise then be forced to keep it to save face. We know the destination though. According to Fizzer's last stream the thing he's most focused on right now is making the game itself easier for newcomers to get into. (Singleplayer things, a join now button to immediately get a game, rebranding, reducing luck to make things less complicated to understand, etc. etc.)

Things that warlight needs (I like making lists):

- Easier way to make games, when you type in "Bob" in Invite by player name, you get 1000 results, and see the first 50. 40 of those players may have been last seen 1000 days ago, do it should be sorted by lay seen.
- Better single player tutorials and levels, the current tutorial isn't even updated for 0%SR, which is the predominant luck type in warlight. The "Welcome Newbies" Games, are 4 FFAs on Earth map. This should definitely be changed.
- Preset templates. Instead of like 40 FFAs and a bunch of templates on the same map, we should have generally accepted templates as strategic.
- More perks for membership. To the average person who doesn't know how to program games and make something like a CLOT, it would be kind of unfair to pay $35 for Recent Games, and No-Ads, as getting to level 54 takes less than a week.
- Developer Appreciation. Muli's Userscript and all CLOTs should be advertised on the LADDER page, and Muli's script topic should be notable, if not already.
- A newbie ladder, for players who are between level 5 and 44. The template could be the same as the 1v1 ladder.
- Add an add all button for FFA's and Diplo hosters. I don't plays Diplo, but I know a lot of people who do, and it is quite time consuming to set up 20 or so teams, and get all the slots right. Also, more scenario tools would be very helpful, for example, selecting multiple territories at the same time.

If these were all implemented, I think warlight's population would double. The amount of people who try the game and quit is probably high, because it is a complicated game.

Benji, do not waste your time, we tried already everything for years: Uservoices, Forum and threads, and they say they listen to the Warlight community, good joke.

An interesting information:
Last time Fizzer posted something about updates in his blog was in September... I have nothing else to say.

Actually, 2 and 3 are. 4 may happen, as there was a thread about it, but Fizzer never followed through with any confirmation. We got the recent games, but that still may not be enough.

Really the thing is, anyone who has followed Fizzer understands that he can't necessarily always make a promise of features. So why, why can't he says what he's working on with that in mind?

If he said he was working on feature and then couldn't continue with it, I would be fine with that, because we would at least know what he is working on at the time.

It'd be better then being in the dark, seeming like nothing is happening.

Yeah. We are not his bosses, or the product owners. He is. So if he says he is working on "X" and thinks it might be a couple weeks away...and he doesn't have it done in a couple weeks, so what? What are we going to do, write him up? He doesn't read the forums often anyway I bet. I would also hope people would not troll him if it took longer than expected. Better to be informed and have to wait, then be in the dark altogether.
