Royal Raid Virus...: 12/26/2015 04:34:59

...Is a complete dog. I got a new, fancy windows 10 laptop for Christmas, and eager to check out my favorite game on it, on my favorite browser. I downloaded google chrome... from a shady website, and during the download, it asked me a bunch of stuff. Thinking it would be the same as google chrome installation normally is, I just clicked accept accept whatever thinking it was something with Windows 10 Security...

I was completely and utterly wrong. I accidentally allowed Royal Raid to get into my computer. I noticed browser speed to plummet, and getting these weird pop-up ads to new tabs. Using some logic, I concluded that it was an extension and deleted it from GC. It came back, immediately.

If you ever accidentally let Royal Raid into your computer, follow these steps in order!

1. Delete Royal Raid from Program Files in C Drive, and uninstall it through the control panel.
2. Delete it from GC/FF/IE. It is a browser extension, and delete it from inside the browser.
3. Divide and Conquer. Depending on how long you've had it, it could be everywhere now. Get some anti-virus that is well-respected. Do this research on a device not infected. Destroy every single file of Royal Raid, or you've gotten nowhere.

Well, at least you noticed it.

Never had anything like this happening... yet. Knowing me and my laziness, it will sooner or later.

I found out that the Google Chrome application in question is real, and my mom asked to download "iTunes". I checked the publisher... not Apple :P

And you wonder why people use Mozilla Firefox.

Also, I'd suggest Avast or AVG. Not Norton, norton in upon itself is a virus.

Internet Explorer is Garbage.

Btw, Royal Raid is sneaky as heck. Those steps do not fully destroy it, as it will always come back. I just reset it to factory settings :P

Well Royal Raid Virus originates from Firefox, Chrome & Internet Explorer. So it doesn't matter if anyone uses it, it comes with most computers and never gets deleted :P

I prefer MS Edge over IE, on Windows 10. On other Windows, Firefox- it loads web pages faster, has good features and is very easy to use.

I've never heard of this virus before. Thanks for the steps, for if I get it.

Source Forge is BUG Free.

There are some sites distributing software like ComputerShow.

This a big site well recognized and known.
