You provided several good reasons why Obama may not be a good president. Although some of these are pretty silly, such as "# of Rounds of Golf". xP

I guess I'm just ok with more taxes and spending in general if it provides more services for all and less poverty. It sucks that the poverty rate increased during Obama's term, too.

Obamas family spent 20x more on themselves (IE luxuries, golfing, food, security, etc.) than the entire 50+ members of the royal family combined. (This was in a news article so I am not 100% sure of its accuracy).

Darth Darth Binks, you might have missed my other reply at the top of this page. I commented about the economy, among other things, in it.

I never claimed I know everything. Why don't you tell me in a serious, unbiaised and impartial way why Obama is a terrible president for the USA?

There have been more tensions with African Americans. Can't deny that. There has been the mass surveillance scandal involving Snowden. Can't forget about that one either. There have been more drone strikes than before. I have to admit it.

But the USA dollar is strong. There have been more jobs and a lower unemployment rate despite an higher debt. You also gained gay marriage and better relations with Cuba. Obamacare is a step toward universal healthcare.


1. As my alt has stated, unemployment rates should not be trusted. They count people who are on unemployment and welfare (I believe; I'm going off the top of my head) as employed. It tells you how many jobs have been earned, but not how many have been lost.

2. The Gay Marriage ruling should never have been conducted by Supreme Court if we wanted to treat our legal system with any respect. Unfortunately, the people do not read up on our own rules, and President Obama has the Court wrapped around his finger (he's not the only president to have done this). I am more than willing to brief you on why it wasn't really legal, but not on this list.

3. Obamacare is illegal. But again we see Supreme Court wagging their tails for the president. What they passed as a tax is not in any way a tax, and is illegal.

4. You'd think he would spend time fixing our country, but no. He got us involved in many Middle Eastern nations we already weren't dealing with, and other countries; seven of which we have bombed. That's three more than Bush.

5. Racial tension. This is a big one, domestically speaking. His words have completely antagonized the police force, which is not a good thing. There are already many in the black community living with the "fuck the police" mentality, but this idiot's actions and words have paved the way for more.

6. He advocated the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. This can fall under number 4, but I want to highlight this one specifically, because the Brotherhood fought for Hitler, because they want the end of the Jews. Look it up.

7. He promised that with Obamacare (the AFFORDABLE Care Act), we could keep our insurance. Utter bullshit. My family couldn't keep our insurance, and our insurance price has doubled. We are not the only ones.

8. The Keystone Pipeline isn't a bad plan...

9. He has done nothing to stop the crawling debt. We are around $18,806,670,000,000 in debt, which will be changing.

10. He has antagonized the Republican Party. Instead of bringing the parties together, he antagonized the Republican Party. As a result, sh*t happened in the Legislative Branch. And when I say sh*t, I mean next to nothing.

11. He refuses to call terrorists "terrorists." He uses the term "Islamic extremists," as if they are not terrorists. His need for political correctness is not helping.

12. He has not helped with border control. Illegal immigration is a big problem. Half of all gang members in the USA are Hispanic.

And people can only be on unemployment and welfare for a limited time. This means unemployment (according to varying polls) is actually much higher (almost triple, according to some) than what the government claims.

I have absolutely to objection to what you said, Dark. In fact, this is exactly the kind of post I was looking for.

The only thing I am unsure about is when you mention that the Gay Marriage ruling should never have been conducted by the Supreme Court. Can you elaborate on this?

Basically, Supreme Court has been filled up with people that share the president's agenda, an act that is not exclusive to President Obama. Supreme Court's job is to translate the US Constitution, and to make decisions on certain things based off the Amendments in said Constitution. Gay marriage is never mentioned in the Constitution. In fact, the right to marriage is not included or addressed in the Constitution at all. Supreme Court cannot legally address topics that do not fall into what the US Constitution entails. Instead, they weaseled their way out of it by using the 14th Amendment to say that it is legal. The sections of the 14th Amendment that are related to this topic are as follows:

Section 1.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Section 5.

The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.


Notice how vague Section 1 is. The Constitution is infamous for this. Amendments are vague, which is why we have 27. Also take into consideration when this Amendment was added. Right after the American Civil War. You know, enslavement is bad. The 14th Amendment regards slavery, but because it is so vague, we have the 15th Amendment, which specified that black men could vote. Doesn't that information technically fall into the 14th Amendment? The answer is, we don't know because it's so freaking vague, so we need to make more amendments. That's why we have the 19th Amendment, which specifies that women could vote. Wasn't that already covered in the 14th Amendment? Answer: It's too vague for Supreme Court to do anything.

But now we have Supreme Court using the 14th Amendment to legalize gay marriage; they only specify gay marriage, mind you, as if normal marriage was already in the Constitution, which it isn't. Marriage and gay marriage are not mentioned in the Constitution, and Supreme Court does not have the authority to make decisions regarding them. Instead, the Legislative Branch should have written in a new 28th Amendment, specifying that marriage, between any two human individuals, is protected under that US Constitution.

EDIT: And if we go by Supreme Court's decision to use the 14th AMendment, that means only people born in the US are allowed to marry. If you come here from another country and become a citizen, tough luck.

Darth is right. Also take notice of the 10th Amendment: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.[4]"

Gay marriage (or marriage in general) is not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution. Thus, as stated by the 10th Amendment, the right to define marriage must be left to the states to decide. The Supreme Court basically acted like legislators by legalizing Gay Marriage and overstepped their jurisdiction. Under the Obama Administration the Supreme Court has become a laughingstock. They don't care about the constitution and nor do they purport to protect it. They only serve to advance a progressive legislative agenda. Its a political institution, not a judicial institution.
