Look through the history of the games and see where you can improve. Also look for the reason why players do certain things.

Oh oh and one last tip. Watch how people play on the 1vs1 ladder. Just take a random guy and analyse their games.
Why they lost/won. What they did and so on.
Pick one person watch 10 games or so and then move on to the next person. It helps! Believe me.

^ not just a random person. Pick someone in the top 10 or 20. Analyze the fuck out of their games, especially those with other top 20 players.

I think its obvious that you pick the top players first....

Just take a random guy and analyse their games.

Your definition of "random guy" might not be the same as everyone else's. In any case, it wasn't clear to me.

Also, on top of that- just play a lot of games. Always check History, even if you win. You'll get better over time as you adapt.
