It would be expanding the map from its original purpose though. Like for example, this map won't feature the Caucasus countries (Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia) nor will it feature central asia, however my greater middle east map would and I think it would allow for a more realistic map.

Well, my idea would be for you to put 2 american fleets at the mediterannean sea and the arabian sea. And two Russian armies, one close to iran, and one in the caucasus.

Thank you all for the help, I'll be sure to add those connections in, and as for the progress of the map, it os progressing, it's just I want to finish Iran all on inkscape first and then upload it all at once just for the satisfaction so just an update, Iran is actually 3/4 done on inkscape.

So the map is getting closer and closer to being completely finished, and I'm going to need around 20 testers, I realise that many people have expressed their interest however they've done so quite a long while ago so I'm not sure if they're all still up for testing and therefore I'm going to be making a new testers list and it'd be great if you just told me if you'd like to test. The aim of the testing phase will be primarily to root out missing connections and test out bonus values and alter them as I doubt they are completely balanced yet. There will probably be two phases of testing.

Phase 1 will be 5 games of 4 players each and the aim of that will be to play a fast FFA, to check all border and missing connections, I realise that this map is not a FFA one but It is probably the most effective way to find those missing connections.

Phase 2 will be one game of around 20 players and the aim of phase 2 will be to check bonus values and if the game is actually fun on the map or if some countries are overpowered. So each player will be playing a full nation. A list of them will be posted with what player is testing what country after I get around 20 testers or so hopefully.

Now as for the Caucasus, I don't think I will be including it in this Middle East map as the Caucasus is a part of the greater middle east not the original middle east. However it will be included in another map that I'll make which will be of the greater Middle east which you may not have noticed as it's much earlier in this post.

I know I'm late to the party, but Id like to try out this map too

Some things to say...when Iran is complete Egypt will have a complete rework with multiple new territories added and borders changed to be more accurate as well as changes in bonuses as the country as a whole has too few territories and the bonuses are in some cases too high in order to try to balance it out, so Egypt is going to be redone so that it fits in the map in a more balanced and equal manner.

I am really exited to see some diplos set in modern middle east so I am keen to test!

for connections, Saudi Arabia and Egypt should connect to each other via Red Sea(possibly from Sinai Peninsula).
