So, Bloomberg recently said he could run as a third party candidate and spend up to 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) dollars on his campaign. What is your opinion? Is he what we need? Will he cause the Democrat to lose?

He'll suck centrist and independent voters away, but I think he overestimates how popular he is to the general public. He'll pick up less than 10% of the votes.

Remember folks that this is the man who tried to ban soft drinks. He's not getting anywhere close to the White House and he knows it. Plus he's far to leftist on gun control.

I don't like Rand's stance on the military but everything else I agree with him on. Fiorina was one of my first picks but my favor of her has gone down A LOT. shes loud, screams the same ol' propaganda lines like Rubio, and she does not want to speak with Putin? how can she solve our International issues if you wont even talk to other world leaders?

Plus Fiorina hasn't been successful at one thing in her life. She has no qualifications. At least Trump made billions of dollars and Carson because one of the world's foremost neurosurgeons.

Yep. For example I think you should pull out of the Middle East entirely, and have far stronger gun control. (you should also legalise weed and suicide).

Yes, no, no, no

1) Pull out of the Middle East - couldn't agree with you more. Why do you think I support Rand Paul?
2) Stronger gun control - I like my 2nd Amendment thank you. If you don't...well then stay in Australia and try not to get bitten by a poisonous snake.
3) Legalize weed - no weed should be decriminalized not legalized. I don't want people to get punished for having/using weed but I don't want the wrong message to be given to children saying that its as safe and legal to use as tobacco or alcohol.
4) Legalize suicide - No. Just no. That's an affront to Western morality and humanity.

1) Pull out of the Middle East?
Yes, but we will most likely be dragged back in due to terrorism.
2) Stronger gun control- Ban semi-automatic weapons.
3) Legalize weed- For Medical purposes, YES. For personal use, Yes and no.
4) Legalize suicide- why?

1) Pull out of the Middle East? No, we would be abandoning corporate American interests in the region leading to less profit for both us and the region (especially us).
2)Stronger gun control? No, the argument can be made that if we had more guns and a better ability to stop shooters, less deaths could take place. Besides this, less guns won't stop killings it will just make it easier to kill a large number of people (also, you think if they're willing to shoot up a school, movie theater, etc that they're not willing to buy an illegal gun?). In addition to this, banning guns won't end innocent killings, just a while ago in Sweden a guy went in and began killing with a sword. Ban swords? They'll use a knife. Ban knifes? They'll use a car bomb. Ban cars? It's a never ending cycle.
3)Legalize marijuana? For medical and recreational purposes, yes. If people want to waste their life away what's stopping me from letting them? If anything Doritos and weed companies can make a few extra bucks but don't let these people onto welfare- drug tests-.
4)Legalize suicide? Yes. They're weighing society down anyways. It's the person's decision on whether they want to end their own life, however idiotic that might be. Just stop making a spectacle of it.
5) Did I go on a rant here? Yes.

Why should you make suicide illegal? If someone wants to take their life then let them. I mean it isn't nice seeing it happen but I really think that it shouldn't be illegal to do so.

US has ten times the gun deaths of Australia per capita and 4 times the murder rate per capita. Guns didn't help people that much.

per capita doesn't make a difference. We have still higher population per capita. We will naturally always have a high crime rate compared to Australia. Use another example that doesn't include a country w edwarf in population so that it can be a fair measuring.

DEFINITION of 'Per Capita'

A Latin term that translates into "by head," basically meaning "average per person." Per capita can take the place of saying "per person" in any number of statistical observances. In most cases the term is used in relation to economic data or reporting, but can also be used in most any other occurrence of population description.

Conservative, when someone says per capita, they mean per 100,000 people (normally).

Also, Thomas, that can be explained away because (1) America has far more/larger cities where most crimes take place (2) Australias murder rate per 100,000 people is .9, Americas is 3.8; you can say 4 times larger, but that's not really considerable; after all, Honduras's is 2500% times larger than Americas and finally (3) Siwtzerland has a 30% gun ownership rate and a LESSER MURDER RATE THAN AUSTRALIA.

1. Bullshit. (top 100 us take up 22% of population, Sydney ALONE takes about 30%, and the top five take well over half)
2.Yes it is. I know it's the difference between 0.0011% and 0.0038%, but it is still for the topic at hand considerable.
3. They also have a lot less area to cover if say, you want to get away with it before the police arrive (guns are fucking loud) and brillant cops. The gun related deaths in Switzerland are also four times larger than Australia, and they treat the guns entirely differently.

First, Conservative didn't read the per capital thing lol, secondly, have you considered that the reason so little shootings take place in Australia has to do with the fact that they're all so squished together on the East coast? There's been a lot of studies showing that when people are surrounded by a lot more people it makes them less violent and less likely to commit suicide which is why New Jersey (the most densely populated state) has the lowest suicide rate (which I assume counts as a shooting) and Alaska has a super high one (least densely populated state). *BREATHES* In addition to this, Alaska or Wyoming, one of the two, has the highest violent gun deaths (one person killing another) for the same reason. So, perhaps this is the reason for how relevant it is in Merica.
