Battle of egos between Grandpa X and Grandpa Genghis for what, online reputation in a game's forum? This thread, I hope you realize this, has been made by a troll (Tyrion) in answer to a previous post I made. You are just giving him more attention by taking it as serious guys.

Don't see why I am some Grandpa - I was here maybe longer than you, but I doubt by much (I joined in the beginning of 2014). Also, no battle of egos here, I was just pointing out who I think belongs on the list, who doesn't. So calm yourself. And I can't tell if this is trolling, this seems to be the average quality of a thread nowadays.

and anyway, let's forget the BS "reputation" that you get from contributing to OT, and make actual contributions, like creating famous templates and maps, leading clans, running leagues, and actually contributing comes in. none of this arbitrary shit.

This is where Plat deserves credit as he does most of the above, aside from mapmaking and maybe template making. Would win a popularity contest? lol no. Does he contribute? Yeah.

Platinum is negative contributions. I've never seen what he actually does, never been affected, so it's probably unspectacular, whatever it is.

Now, Livermor, the person, who, as far as I know, made the Tactic gamemode, he is awesome. M. Poireau also comes to mind for making deployment limits, he's awesome, too. Math Wolf, he's done many things over the years, but it's been a long time. But he, for example, made the first extensive Attack/Defence chart with luck and army amount included for armies 1to10 (the first of its kind). He made a better algorithim to determine the best mapmakers (it didn't get implemented, though). They are real "contributors".

Other noteworthy contributors: ChrisCMU, Muli, JSA, etc. and people who have/do run a league: huddyj, knyte, MotD, etc.

+ plenty other people I can't think of, off of the top of my head

Oh, and the WGL cast. There are plenty of people who actually contribute.

No, it's not your tactic scenari. Tactic games, in broadest sense, is any game with trust rules, that are not enforced the game. But this sense yields to the narrower sense - a competitive, balanced game with certain rules to make different strategies and ways to win possible. So deployment limits, pocketing/important boroughs, stack limits, these are all things you would see in a tactic gamemode.
