Hi all,

I think the Warlight-Community could be much more interactive if there would be a chat which is similar to the facebook chat. With a list of the currently online friends and clan mates. Also chat groups could be inclouded and "chat games" would be redundant.

I am not a programmer, so i dont know how hard it is to realize something like this. But i would like to hear the feedback to this idea.

This chat is different to the one I am thinking about. I would like to have a list with my friends and their actual online status. I dont want to talk to strangers. A popping up window with new messages would also be great.

And if you count the players "active" in the existing chatroom, you see how badly it is integrated in the game. I was alone.

A good way to communicate keeps the game alive. You can check out quickly if one of your buddies is up for some games, talk about random stuff and get known each other better. In my opinion a chat like this would enrich Warlight! ;)

If there was better moderation I would prefer a public chat thing on the side of the dashboard, similar to websites like kongregate.

Where you can pick one public chat out of a few so to decrease the amount of messages being sent. While also being able to create permanent private chat rooms (member only feature) where you can invite people to it. It would be easier and more convenient than loading up a chat game, especially when trying to get good strategic players for rt games.

Maybe it wouldn't need much more moderation than we have now if the only players able to send messages in it are members, but I'm unsure if thats too limiting for the number of users who will use it. Though maybe exclude the clan chat from requiring membership.

You just explained private mail discussions. I mean if you really want to have a chat room with people invited to them just go create a mail thread. Not that difficult though?

Just use skype. Most clans have a skype chat.
