Would you rather:

A) Be able to fly. You can fly twice as fast as you can run, and while you dont have to do anything physically (like superman, no flapping) it does take a physical toll on your body just like running does. You can carry people while you fly but you dont have super strength or anything, so it would be like a piggy back ride.

Or

B) Teleportation. You get 30 teleports a year. You can teleport anywhere within the solar system. You can take anything and anyone with you but you have to be physically touching them/it. When you teleport you get a painful reaction akin to someone winding up and giving you the biggest kick to the balls; the pain is beyond anything youve ever felt, however no physical thing happens to your body, its just pain. Also, every time you teleport there is a 0.1% chance you die instantly. The pain, and death chance applies to people you take with you.

I'd pick A. But as it is akin to running, the more you use it the longer you can do it?

Flying. Easy. No doubt.

Come on? Only 30 teleports a year plus its painful?!! I would much rather fly because its only dependent on stamina and endurance.

Id take A. Unless you over exert yourself you probably arent going to die from it and it wouldnt be as painful.

Questions.

For A, so would there be a flying sprint option? If i worked up running ability, would i be able to fly farther?

For B, does the place have to be somewhere you already seen or been too? Like I go on goole and look at the moon, and I can go there? Also will i breath in space? Cause I don't want to teleport to any other part of the solar system and die.

And how is that 0.1 determined?

How long will the pain last?

@my BF

Flying is cardio, you can strengthen it by running (but flying would work just as well) you can choose your speed but its dependent on running.

You dont have to have seen anplace to teleport, but you have to know it exists, like you know your doctors office but not a random office at a hospital youve never set foot inside.

The pain lasts 3 sec

The 0.1% is calculated by god (idk)

A i asume i can train that abbility? (with a physical limit)

because for B: after 30 years there will be a 90% that i'm dead. and i have to teleport me back... so thats just 15 trips a year. the pain is the smallest problem.

Of course it does. The more often you teleport, the higher the chance is that the 0.1 % actually cause your death.

And I agree with Ox, under these circumstances, flying.

yeah flying has less drawbacks, or more like no drawbacks since the way it works is like a normal human movement, than teleporting.

@Legi- how did you calculate that probability?

I did .999^900, which gave me a 40.6% chance of surviving if you teleported 30 times a year for 30 years

Math
Chance of not dying in a given trip: 1-.001(which is .1% in decimal)=.999
Chance of not dying in 30 trips: .999^30=.9704
Chance of not dying in 30 years of 30 trips: .9704^30=.406
.999^900 gives the same answer, it's just a shortcut.

So really teleporting isn't as dangerous as you said

I'd choose B... I feel if it's like running, and you run out of stamina mid flight... SPLAT. Sure the teleporting hurts, but I feel the pain is worth it.

That death percentage is crazy. By the 33rd year you would of most likely died.

I would go b without the death percentage. But with the death percentage I would go a. the only reason teleportation is worth more then flying is time, which you are risking at a 0.1% which is very high!!! And flying can get you anywhere but will take time to get there.

Honestly take out the death percentage, getting kicked in the balls is bad enough.

.1 x 30 = 3

3 x 30 = 90

Given you put in 900 teleports, there is a 10% chance you will live next teleport due to your consecutive successful teleports.

.1 x 900 plus the relative time for a full flux thrust can be measured down to a measly 47 milliseconds per minute travel distance with the exception of the milky way's density which is 4000 nigawatts plus without the speed of light, concluding that genghis is cancer

Well whatever the chance is. I would use the teleport on something really worth while and probably not use it 30 times a year.
