Rules: Only people listed as VIPs get to post more than once in a row. No trolling please.
VIPs: Xpapy, Genghis, The Pope.

In-game mechanics: You need to eat, sleep, and drink. Combat can be very lethal, a bullet to the head and you have to start over at a point I decide (so you don't get placed in a part where you would not be able to actually survive). You have to properly maintain your equipment to ensure that it will work properly and not jam/break on you. Combat is turn-based and based mostly on the old fallout games (1 and 2). Being a mean , belligerent , jackdonkey will not get you far if you don't have the force to back it up, and you often will not. There are no artificial boundaries on where you can go, just natural limits (you can't swim to China, no food in some areas particularly devoid of life, places thick with enemy life). Finally, if you want to improvise in a combat situation, you can most defintely do that if it makes sense.

Yes. Let's you see any area explored by the Enclave, with some outdated maps available for non-Enclave/you explorered areas.

(This is a starting option to give you some things you're skilled in and to decide where you start)

When you were 13, you decided to skip class because it was your birthday. You grabbed a nifty little power map, snuck out of the main gate to the base you live in and then went along a road until a patrol lead by your dad found you. He gave you a stern talking to, and took you back to base.

Five years later: You sit down at a table across from a few stern looking officers. They have summoned you to a office to have a discussion with you about some important business. The one with the most stars on his uniform begins to speak "Young man, me and my fellow officers have selected you for a very important thing. As you know, since the NCR entered the area, we have been on lockdown. We saw what they did to us at Navarro, and what they did to the Brotherhood. They so far are not aware of our existence. But I need you to do something important. Any questions before we begin?"

Answer:
A.No sir

B.Yes sir(ask what you want)

The officer exclaims "Listen, we can't give you anything too advanced incase you get killed and your body is found. Hellfire winding up in a NCR base would turn some heads for sure. We can provide you with some leather armor, a laser pistol, a power map, a pip-boy, 200 caps, and some rations. Now can we get down to the mission?"

A. Yes sir
B. No sir (ask question)

"Good. I need you to go north to Umatilla , a settlement not too far to the north. Built on a old military base. There is a code there that we need to activate a generator in this base, or we'll end up losing power. When you get it, high-tail it back to here. That is all, dismissed."

You gather your equipment and personal belongings, and exit the base.

You are outside of the base, on a road that hasn't been traveled on in a long while. To the left and right are some woods, probably dense with some creepiness you don't want to see.

A. Travel on the road north
B. Go left towards some woods
C. Go right towards some woods
