Luckily, we aren't British.

We will get our independence, while the rest of you Brits burn.

Seriously, David Cameron looks like a cute little puppy dog compared to the 4 choices for his successor.

Boris Johnson right now leads at odds 4-7. He belongs in the UKIP party, I have no clue what he's doing in Tories even.

Ugh, what an idiot. Next, George Osborne. He used to be at odds 2-1, but now he's at 4-1, after his new terrible budget, and the fact he made Iain Duncan Smith, one of the more moderate Tories, resign. And of course, Duncan, being a moderate Tory: is Scottish. But hey, at least Osborne likes the EU.

"We don't care about the poor, because they don't vote for us" - Osborne

Next up, at odds something like 6-1 there's Michael Gove. Oh, this is just pick your poison, isn't it? Another Eurosceptic, and he wants to privatise the NHS. What a dick.

And finally, Theresa May. This woman is famous for nothing other than her cleavage and her shoes. Odds 7-1 or 8-1 or something. She won't win. She likes the EU, but she's more drunk than most Scots and Belgians: that is scary.

And of course, you could always vote Corbyn, but he's a socialist. Of course, I like that, but he's not going to win any majority vote. His only hope is teaming up in a coalition government with the SNP, but I fear that in 2020 the Tories will win again, no matter which one of these boneheads becomes the candidate.

You could always vote Green, but then people will just laugh at you.

This is why Scotland wants to leave the UK

Why do the Welsh not care about being independent?

Boris Johnson made a cameo in Sonny 2. As the main villain. And a puppet of the ZPCI.

I don't even know him, but I already hate him.

Because Wales's budget, like Northern Ireland's, is heavily subsided by England and Scotland.

Wales "joined" England much longer ago, also, Welsh are smart. But see the Wales Group (Plaid Cymru). Their ultimate goal is to get Welsh independence from Britain.

Yeah but Plaid Cymru is not even an electoral threat, unlike the SNP.

Ox you shouldn't worry so much though. Even if Boris Johnson were to become the next Tory leader it will have the side effect of essentially imploding the UKIP party because all their voters will probably switch back to the Tories. So you'll at least have gotten rid of one "problem".

@Tchaikovsky : What Jai said. Plaid Cymru have 3 seats, and they made no gains in the 2015 election. I feel like they'll get a little stronger in 2020 though, but as Jai says, they are not an electoral threat.

@Zeph : The problem with Boris, is that he's funny, and he's popular. This is what sets him apart from Osborne. Sure, Osborne is a bit more moderate, and not a Eurosceptic, but he's unpopular, especially with his new budget.

@Clement : Also, Wales haven't even taken the first steps to independence - get a parliament.

@Juq : You use the term "joined" very loosely, I see. More like "annexed against their free will". There is a reason a lot of Welsh people speak Welsh, and there is a reason they have some sort of autonomy when it comes to sports. There is a Welsh national identity, but it is stagnant right now. Also "Welsh are smart". How subtle ^^

@Jai : This is the problem. UKIP get a lot of votes, and potentially a lot of seats, but, they steal most of these from the Tories, so:

If Tories divide themselves between UKIP and Conservative, splitting the right-wing vote,
And Labour end up with a majority because of this
And Labour engage in a new Lib-Lab (I doubt it) or (more likely) Labour-SNP pact, or even a Labour-SNP-Green-Lib coalition, it'd be brilliant. That's a UK I would not want to leave, tbh. They'd treat Scotland more fairly.

@Speck : Thought that too, tbh. Their policies are quite similar though. However, in terms of most to least authoritarian (they are all extremely authoritarian, mind you) Trump > Farage > Boris

Wrong. Nicolas Sarkozy had the same strategy, trying to attract far right voters, it did not worked at all but even worsened the situation as more and more people vote for FN nowadays mainly because Sarkozy trivialized their message, allowing a republican and important political party to deal with extremist views. If the Tories decide to do the same with UKIP I am sure it will end up in a similar way.
