You guys dont know what havoc Plat caused with his alt after he jumped into CORP. Of course you cant know that he is an ***, only CORP players know.

Uh I wasn't in CORP when things happened. For all intents and purposes, I'm hardly even a CORP member. There's plenty of people outside CORP aware of Plat's actions.

The actual Illuminati (the clan) at least are aware of Plat's actions. When I joined their clan chat (prior to vitriol joining CORP), they'd discussed Plat's addition to their chat as an opportunity for him to behave himself after getting denied membership on the grounds of his reputation.

The only response coming from [Lynx] and {101st} is that he's not a dick to/around y'all. No shit, Sherlock. Just like a kid's probably not gonna smoke pot in front of his mom, Plat's not going to be a dick to his clan and the clan his clan feeds.

I don't know how or why this "Looking for a clan" thread has derailed into a debate over a clan leader, when that wasn't the point of the thread. Seriously, there's no value in having an argument on an unrelated thread. Just make a new one for the sake of it, or keep your opinions to yourself.

This might sound cynical considering the last thing I said above, but from a neutral (Illuminati/Hydra) standpoint I've had no problems whatsoever with Platinum during my time on WL (he joined- with his first account- a few weeks after me iirc). Sure, he may seem like a dick, but in the interactions I've had with him I've only ever heard good things from him, and from what I've seen he seems to have improved his clan a lot.

In my personal opinion (and this is from someone who talked with him, or rather fought over something during 90 minutes straight, so I'm not a complete ignorant on that matter), Platinum can really be a good guy when he wants to. Except sometimes, he goes too emotional, especially when he doesn't get what he want. Ask anyone in our GC. Platinum used to be in CORP under the name of Ocean and under the cover of Platinum's irl friend. He was intelligent enough to convince Ox he isn't an alt. Then, he was productive and all, and he could've stayed in the clan... but people were constantly accusing him of being an alt of Plat, especially Cata. And he ended up admitting that it's indeed the case.

Note, he was not even kicked. He left on his own. I honestly don't know if we would've ended up kicking him out.... but I dare saying it's better that way. And then Plat has shown his dark side. He asked, no, demanded to be put in charge of the Clan League preparations. While admittedly, he has made some valid points, he's gone too far in his trying-too-hard behaviour and started throwing insults like "CORP's strategic sector is like Darklords' standards" and then, his arguments basically evolved into "Give it to me because I want it and it will be better that way because I will be in charge", which is, with all the respect, a behaviour usually assigned to children.

So, sure, Plat is usually a friendly guy. But he's also very emotional at times. He still seems to be pissed at CORP, as we didn't give him what he wanted, and so he throws sarcastic comments like in the beginning of this thread. And, I mean, at least he tries. He doesn't want to be the asshole a part of community consider him to be. He even created a new account to leave his reputation behind, but it didn't work. He's pretty stubborn and values himself high, though. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn't help in interpersonal contacts at times...

Feel free to disagree with my opinion. After all, that's what opinions are made for. To disagree with them. Or to take parts of them to form your own.

I am open to talks with any spokesperson, From CORP. I have no idea how this got on to the forums but I want to talk things out and come out with a respective conclusion which will leave both parties happy.

Mail thread or Game chat, I don't care I just want some form of communication with CORP to discuss and end this petty issue.

Reading over Death's comment, it seems like I've been too harsh on Platinum. My views re:Platinum actually match his and I apologize for overstating them. The responses I've received make a lot more sense if they were instead responding to me making it sound like Platinum's a complete asshole.

Instead, I've just not been fond of some aspects of his behavior (which I'd maintain disqualify him as the carrier of Apollo's legacy in my eyes, but that might be due to a rosy view of Apollo skewed based on limited interaction). I also have a personal stake against statements portraying CORP as a DARKLORDS-esque clan, given that I was effectively running CORP when it avoided heading down that route.

So I apologize to Plat/Lynx/101st for making it seem like he's an asshole all the time when I'm simply annoyed by his treatment of CORP (incl. his dismissive comment at the beginning of this thread). Just like how he takes it personally when someone calls out his leadership of 101st, I also took it fairly personally when he belittled what I consider to be my small legacy within this game/community.

EDIT: Just for clarification:

- I am not acting on behalf of CORP
- I have no continued involvement with CORP leadership
- I barely engage within CORP
- Until yesterday, the leader of CORP didn't even realize I was in his clan
- None of my comments in this thread where coordinated with CORP
- I personally don't support some of the concerns CORP leadership has with Platinum
- My concerns with Plat's behavior are independent of CORP leadership's policy and won't be resolved in some sort of private mail agreement; as I've stated before, I don't really care about reputation on a site oriented around a board game

In other words, I'm not a representative of CORP or CORP leadership. I'm not exactly an insider in the clan at this stage.

Going back to that last point, Platinum- whose skill level is decent (1900-ish upon ladder entry is very, very solid)-

He's a great, friendly guy and he's done so much for 101st by recruiting all these amazing new players and organizing several clan tournaments and events. I'm very convinced 101st will do great in Clan League Division B.
You are right, Platinum has indeed recruited some M'Hunters alts who of course are most excellent top tier players. Sadly players like "Potatoe? No." will fight for their base clan.

Hooo, why do I keep missing all this stuff? I guess it's for the better, anyway. I have a few things to address, anyway.

1. Then - I don't have much else to say on the topic other than Death. He covered most of it. Platinum decided to join CORP under his new account (which at the time was an alt), with the name "Ocean". He then decided to wreak as much havoc as possible, before he left independently. At the time, I had a really bad opinion of him. Back then, lots of CORP members definitely hated Platinum, and that probably lingers on until today, with a few people still having a bone to pick with him. Remember, at this moment we're seeing the "emotional" Plat. And the Emotional Platinum is the one that goes around (like Pulsey, but a lot less successful than Pulsey in his attempt) saying "YOU WANT TO FITE MATE, I CAN TAKE ON ALL CORP'S MEMBERS, LET'S GO PAL", and "LET ME MANAGE CORP'S CL ROSTER YOU DARKLORD-TIER CLAN", and crazy stuff like that. Not the best I've ever seen of him.

2. Now - At this point, there isn't much of a feud at all. It's just a semi-rivalry, more of a pissing match, between Plat and me (sometimes with a clanmate or 2 on either side joining in) directing as many trolls, alts, and newbies to each other's clan, for the fun of it. What JSA said was incorrect (ty for the BL btw): The comments were most definitely sarcastic, on either side. But it's not something to get annoyed about either. This time, the arguments have literally devolved into banter, nothing else. It's only really the past that we look back on, and see Plat in his emotional mode, that we see his lows. Now though, it's just a laugh.

3. Plat's competence on running a clan - Really, this is a no-brainer for me: Plat is good at running 101st. The only thing that drags him down is his bad reputation. He is competent, skilled, and doubting his ability to run the thing NOW isn't the right thing to do. Yes, in the past, he's made several mistakes (LIKE KICKING OUT BLOWFLY <3), but he's learned from each of those mistakes (#Blowfly2020), and with each one has become a better clan manager. A few months ago? Definitely, he wasn't the best of clan managers. But at the time, he was just experiencing all the problems any clan manager goes through, and at this point, he's good and well-respected.

4. Adressing Original Poster: - This is short. Prab's guess was wrong, but it's an educated guess. OP is an alt of SirSalty. No need to say "GET BACK TO THE TOPIC!! THIS GUY WANTS A CLAN!!" when OP is literally just throwing out some bait and seeing who will bite.

5. A short personal gripe - I think Platinum shouldn't be given all the credit for evolving 101st. He's had it a little easy with all these Lynx players coming and helping him. Right! That's the end this point!

6. And for all those who think Plat has never bashed CORP... - Oh, he sure has. Just not that recently. Right now it's just banter-pissing-match style jokes, but not too long ago, he made some infamous CORP-bashing threads and games, that didn't go too well for him. Stop living under the illusion that it never happened, because it did. Just not now :-)
