Yeah, I agree with your da. Linguistic inflation is a great problem. "Literally" doesn't just mean to be wielded as an intensifier, it means "literally" you mean precisely what you say without idioms. If you say 'I'm literally going to die tomorrow.' then that better come true, whether God makes it true or if I do.
But yeah, if you use less curse words, then when you do use curse words, they're more powerful. A curse word from someone who never uses curse words is much more powerful than a curse word from someone who says "damn" every other phrase.
