Impossible Intervention Challenge: 4/12/2016 04:12:00

Randomass desc just to somehow BS this whole thing into sense:

"Two nations prepare to wage nuclear war upon one another. The north against the south, or at least that was the case before you showed up.

As a "pacifist" working for a world peacekeeping organization, you must raid both sides to stop each from gaining complete control over their respective region.

This is because if you do allow for just one side to gain complete control of their region, they'll gain the resources required to amass weapons of mass destruction, allowing them to entirely wipe out all opposition which ultimately ends in your failure.

Also, do proceed with caution. Both nations have made a temporary pact with one another in an effort to stop you from successfully intervening in the conflict, refusing to have their land seized from them by some pesky foreigners."

And no the challenge isn't completely impossible. It's actually real easy once you figure out the trick, which you're not gonna get from me anytime soon :)

(the only thing different from the version that I played here were the names of the AIs and the level... game mechanics stayed precisely the same and DON'T ask why the AI naming because really idk I was high ok)

Post your personal best here if you manage to win (at all) XD

Leaderboard:
1st- Gojrra: 14 turns
2nd- MarkusBM: 14 turns
3rd- M. Poireau: 16 turns
4th- The Semice: 18 turns
5th- Алексей: 26 turns

(I'm deciding the ranks for those with the same amount of turns based on when they were done... the first to complete the level in x amount of turns will get the highest ranking possible)

Interesting business!

I gave it a few tries, and made a lot of progress, but ultimately got taken down when the 1000+ stacks arrive at "home base". I'll think on it some more!

Its probably possible to win in 11 or 12 turns. Maybe I'll try it again later.

I gave it a try for 2-3 turns, but doesn't look impossible. You have 2 abandon cards, and on first turn you use OP and have no trouble breaking both their bonuses, then you can create 2 very big abandons to stop both from taking their superbonus. After that you overwhelm their combined income by more than 100%, doesn't look difficult to force a win.

Pulsey, you're correct, except that it's after the first 2-3 turns that things become very difficult: those larger stacks arrive on your borders, and then you can get clobbered.

It's an interesting challenge!

pretty fun, lost the first time I tried because I underestimated how big the blockades really need to be to keep them secure

I tried it again and finished it this time (took me a few tries).

It seems to me that a bit depends on luck in the first couple of turns (sometimes the AI deploys as much as +20 on those little islands bordering your starting position; you have to guess how many armies to use in the attack).

Once you've survived the first 5-7 turns, of course, it's just mop-up.

I think it's a good scenario!

With my approach, I doubt it could be played much faster. I'd love to see how someone could finish this in 12 turns...

It took a few tries to get the right approach of not underestimating the abandons, but I got it in 14 turns as well:

Yeah, I think 14 turns is the quickest you can do it in.

@name is anonym - a player's single player history is not publicly viewable. That's why you need to take a screenshot and upload it as proof. The link is just for the game template.
