Hi, I was wondering if anybody would be willing to train me on the strategy of 1v1 games.

A good way to start is watching the games of good players. Try to figure out why they do what they do. Don't just blindly copy them but if you understand why they are doing something different than you do, and you see why it's better, you just learned something.
