The population of germany has remained pretty constant since 1960 (50 years ago) due to the aforementioned 1.3 birth rate. The rise is very slow, from 72 million 50 years ago, to 80 million today, and the population is expected to fall due the really, really low birth rate.

When you then consider that syrias population since 1960 has gone from 4 million up to 22 million today, it's not hard imagine that in a few decades, germans are a minority.

France revolutioned litterature, and the laws as well as war under napoleon. The US created the first modern presidential republic. Arabs gave us better maths, medicine and compass. Chinese gave us paper, powder and the first usage of steel. Japanese give us very advanced tech. Africa/Mesopotamia gave us agriculture, writing and the first cities.


The own western civilization is already a mix of what the world has and had, but to be frank it's maybe a mistake to say that the west has it's sole civilization. More and more cultures will mix and one civilization with what the world has of best is a consequence of globalization, and it's not a bad thing. You either embrace it or you live in the past, because if you really wanted a pure western civilization without changes, we'd be struggling to feed ourselves without agriculture and to record history without paper.
