Illuminati is still continuing its experiment, using the ladders as a stock market. We are pleased to announce that we have devised a way for our spreadsheet to automatically track not just individual worth, in realtime, but also the value of entire clans based on the sum of their ranked players on (non-seasonal) ladders. After some consideration, it was decided that alts controlled by a clan's members do not add any value to a clan, and thus will not be tracked.

We are currently slowly adding clans to the list that we are tracking. This is an intriguing breakthrough, and we look forward to playing around with it. There is a fair chance we will only track clans that are listed C or higher in the clan league, as we still have to manually add/delete players when the clan makes any changes to its membership.

Other minor details:

Illuminati's investment portfolio is steadily recovering after a major crash during its first week, shedding close to 40% of its initial $1,000 value. It currently remains steady at $857.31. As of this moment, it owns stock in 43 different entities, spread across all of the non-seasonal ladders.

Illuminati's own stock is remaining steady, currently valued at $6,879 per share. Forbidden Knowledge maintains 55% of the company's voting rights, with Great Expanse controlling 30% and Once in a While controlling 15%. The clan is fine with its current rate of growth, as it recognizes it is a niche that not many are interested in; however, alts are welcome.

The only real flaw I see in that is alts that haven't been identified will still be tracked.

If they are within a clan that is being tracked, it does add to the value of that clan, specifically. The alts that are clanless or in other clans, but are owned by a member of a different clan, will not make any difference to the owner. For example, MoD's alt desi will not have any effect on Masters' performance, but will benefit Blitz (edit: looks like it's no longer in Blitz. Never mind XD); Gnuffone's alt Belzebu will not affect WG, etc. This way, a) people have to use the accounts they in a specific clan to benefit that clan and b) I don't have to run around tracking the insane number of alts on Warlight. Everyone wins!

FK, if you are looking for more members I think part of the problem is how the requirements are set up. I get that you want a clan member to be ranked on the ladder, but this indirectly makes it hard for alts to join. Sine alt has to be high enough level and the main has to not play the ladder on a different team. If would be nice if I could join with and alt but have my main traced :/

Also several of the requirements looks redundant. Least login every 14 days? By then you are not longer ranked or have a nice boot streak. Same for activety, tbh. If you are ranked you are active.

Most importantly, have the clan investments in me?

Hey, TBest! The alt itself doesn't have to be on the ladders; we do currently trace main accounts for Illuminati. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and Once in a While have both opted to use their main accounts.

And, I haven't quite finished editing the front page, so I agree, there probably is some stuff that's a bit redundant. Leftovers from the previous era.

As for investments in you; not currently, but if you feel that there's a good chance one of your ratings will improve in the next few weeks, I might be persuaded to invest some in you. :)

What's your formula again? I can trivially do this for all clans if you want me to, although not continuously like a Sheet.

(Oh, and I can't really handle alts- I'm just going to assume people play by the rules and have only one account on a ladder at a time)

Lol. I stand corrected. I just had to assume Belz was Gnuff, because, you know, high-ranked Italian and Gnuff is too proud of his 2400 rating to play the RT ladder regularly. He knows he'd lose that rating if he did. :)

Here's roughly the logic behind its setup:

Using the formula you gave me to track an individual player's performance on a ladder, I then listed each player and his performance on all four of the ladders. So, row A would be names; B 1v1 ladder rating; C 1v1 ladder rating tracking formula; D & E repeat of B & C for 2v2 ladder, D & E repeat for 3v3 ladder; E & F repeat for realtime ladder.

So, to calculate the total value of a clan, in row G goes the formula, written out in English, =sum(sum of clan's 1v1 ratings [of ranked players] + sum of clan's 2v2 ratings [of ranked players] + sum of clan's 3v3 ratings [of ranked players] + sum of clan's realtime ratings [of ranked players]).

After the initial setup, the only thing I have to do to keep it flowing is keep track of the clan's membership. The spreadsheet automatically counts any unranked player as worth $0. I'm sure it's not the most elegant way to do it, but so far I'm pleased with the results. :)

Upon entering, you are given $1,000 in starting capital. It is recommended to invest at least some of it into Illuminati's clan stock, as this will grant you voting rights on clan matters.
