---- off-topic ---- (some blah about me, you can skip it)

Well, first of all some words about me, more precisely about my Warlight history (Ego needs this, sorry :P (later I will delete this part but shh, do not tell him :D ))

I tried to be a troll, but I was a very weak one, maybe I am too old to be a really good troll :O So I gave it up (but I cannot promise that I will not be (overly) sarcastic if some behavior (most of mine LOL) forcing me :P )

I tried the diplo/roleplay games too, but seems they are not my world, here (https://www.warlight.net/Forum/141260-diploroleplay-style-) I wrote about why not (despite this I am open to any invitations if you think that it will be really good (and I mean the participants especially) role/diplo game and you need one more superb roleplayer ;-) )

I most enjoyed the competitive games, but I am afraid I must give it up too, because I am too lazy for it :( I mean I adore the competitions, when the palyers bring out the maximum from themself and try to beat everyone else and being the best. But simply I am too lazy to invest evaluable energy into it not even the maximum... Thus, for me, it is just frustrations (I wanna be the best without any harder work LOL) Ok, talk too much...

The point is that I found the solution! There is a possibility to enjoy this all competitive things without too serious brain work -> I will be tournament organizer! :D

I love the tennis a lot so I will simple copy a few things from it at first try :D

---- on-topic ----

Along the lines of ATP (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_Tennis_Professionals) I would like to establish the Association of Warlight Professionals (AWP, it sounds very cool imo :D)

The goal is to collect everybody who love the competitive side of the Warlight (just like me), and try to make it better together.

Inter alia, the tasks of the AWP would be:
  • coordination of the present events (if the owners of the existing brands are open for the cooperations);
  • sharing the organization work (would be easier life for the organizators and more smoothly/faster tourneys progress in this way);
  • organization of new events;
  • try to create a common and cyclic Warlight World Champion and/or ranking (ELO) systems;
  • try to involve coins to the competitive events by patrons/sponsors;
  • create databases, gather statistics and make analyzes from the whole competitive Warlight history;
  • joint advocacy to the Warlight Creator, Fizzer (God keep him for a long time :D );
  • etc.; etc.
I think the easiest way is if we are organized by countries in the beginning.
So I establish AWP Hungary, and will try to collect the Hungarian competitive Warlight scene (we are, unfortunately, not so many :( )

If you are ready to do the same in your country, do not hesitate and join to us, establishing your country level AWP.

Finally, these country-level associations will form the AWP itself.

Ok, that is enough about the hard works, now let come some fun (for me certainly, but I hope it will be fun for the community too)

I mean, I start the very first AWP project, called AWP World Tour (https://www.warlight.net/Forum/156042-awp-world-tour)

So you want to manage already existing leagues?

sharing the organization work (would be easier life for the organizators and more smoothly/faster tourneys progress in this way);

I disagree. Most leagues work better as dictatorship.

Those things sound cool, but also like a lot of work. Not sure if you find enough motivated volunteers that can help doing that stuff.

ELO and full world rankings would be relatively easy to automate if Fizzer was happy to let someone have back end access to the database...

Corrected :P

No, that is not my goal. The sharing was only an idea with we could improve the organizing works imo.

Agree, but this does not contradict with my idea.
I mean the brand owner (main organizer) still can be a dictator (he makes all the decisions if he wants) and, following your analogy, the others are only his soldiers (and vice versa). They can help (eachother) operating the leagues based on the rules of the main organizers in cases busy times for example (for this need exact rules of course, but that should be without sharing too). I think, the organizers work can be more effective with sharing. But this is only one (small) idea about how can we improve the competitive side of the Warlight.

Well, I think I will enjoy them, so I will do them. Won't be fast progress though :D Maybe will be similar fanatics who will join and will be faster, who knows ;)
But now I am working on the AWP World Tour (https://www.warlight.net/Forum/156042-awp-world-tour), so these projects are postponed.

Yes, would be easier with automation and database access, but (unfortunatelly) not so big this Warlight competitive topic that it can not be done manually.
