Clan League Update:

Well, something happened and I feel like writing up an update! Such freedom to update when I want! Suck it my old routine!



So you may look at those and be like "GE, seriously? Nothing has happened. Sod off you wanker!" and to you I cry in a corner for a few minutes, recover and continue writing this update. But what has happened is the solidifying of the Division C clan rankings.

Yesterday, VS beat CORP on 2v2 ME and with that VS mathematically clinched 2nd place and eliminated Hydra and BIA from promotion. So if is 100% confirmed M'Hunters and VS will promote to Division B for Season 9. Not shocking, just thought I'd fill you in on that. But, while VS has clinched promotion, VS has fallen M'Hunters by a surprisingly degree with their win rates now being 76% to 68%. And M'Hunters is 8 points away from clinching 1st place. To me this is surprising the gap between the two clans, both of which I would have thought would be closer together as the season wrapped up.

Next, that 2v2 ME game between CORP and VS was of significance for CORP as well. With the loss, CORP was mathematically eliminated from 4th place and will end the season in 5th place. But this isn't the only sad news. I am sad to say, I will have to bring back the #CORProblem Boot Tracker because yet another player from the CORP lineup has gone inactive and is getting booted in games.

So what do this all mean? 1st and 2nd are 'contested' but M'Hunters has this race almost locked up. So with 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th all determined, only Hydra and BIA will continue to duel it out for 3rd and 4th. And I will continue updating that as Hydra and BIA stumble to the finish line.

Besides the rivalry between Hydra vs BIA, another focus can be rumors about the possibilities of opening an extra promotion slot.

M'Hunters and VS will promote to Division B for Season 10.

How do you know that? There is still a bit of possibility that they will get utterly destroyed in in CL9 div B and get relegated back to C!

With the loss, CORP was mathematically eliminated from 4th place and will end the season in 5th place.

Hurra- o wait. :/ Oh well.

Congratulations to VS for securing their promotion! Even bigger congrats to the MH team for dominating the competition!

M'Hunters has just won the C division and thus are we the first clan to win our division (due to a greater amount of points than the other clans have max).

I heard rumors from some wanabe elite clans about how much more stronger the A division is than the B division. Something like the looser from A could easily score first in B. Well, I guess that gives us our next mission then:

M'H is definetly better than WG, I could hardly see WG doing better than you or any of the actual top 4 of B. As for the second relegated clan, that only time will tell; apex and gg for sure have a big shot of promoting next season.

Second thing, congrats to M'H and VS for the promotion, B will be very competitive next season for sure!

Respectable clan, Great core strategy players and good attitude for The most part ;)

My comments before hand when the season was a bit harsh but proved wrong by your strong performance, Division B will be a huge step up from this division and I'm confident we will see the truly best your clan has got to offer when pushed to the limits by what seems to be a stacked division B next season. I wish you guys the best next season.

Congratulations to VS also, Really nice clan who deserves good things to happen to then there members are really nice and are very respectable to their opponents. Want to wish them the vest next season also and wish them a happy promotion.

Oh....Clan League. Yes, that still going on? Apparently.

Has anything happened? Sort of. Well, the positions have been sorted out for everyone but Hydra and BIA. I was going to wait to announce M'Hunters winning the division when 3v3 EU finished up, but it appears Norman suffers from premature celebration syndrome. Our hearts and prayers go out to him.

Since the last update:

So yeah, those 3 games finished. 3v3 EU ended so I'll recap that. But first a quick look at the standings!



So with Hydra and BIA still duking it out for 3rd place, a random thought passed through my head: Why the hell does either clan want 3rd place?

If a clan ends in 3rd, the have the potential to get promoted to B, and what clan wants that? Seriously. B is murder next season. Who wants to be little fish in B when they can be bigger fish in stage 1/2? I'm seriously have a moral crisis of whether I want Hydra to come 3rd or 4th. I mean, say Hydra comes 3rd, can a clan decline a promotion spot? Say, "Naw, give it BIA. We don't want it".

Ok, onto 3v3 EU.

3v3 EU Summary:

So congrats on VS sweeping this 3v3 EU tournament! I don't think many would have predicted M'Hunters to come second but they did. So looking at this tournament I categorize it as VS and M"Hunters and then everyone else competing. VS and M'Hunters were just so far ahead of everyone else that it wasn't a competition to them.

CORP sneaks in 3rd place here which is quite nice for them. Their high rank here is a demonstration of good team players in CORP, whereas Hydra, BIA and LEA were nothing but a hot mess on this template.

Small anecdote, Super Smoove after beating Hydra in one of the opening games came to me to ask if something was wrong with the Hydra team. I asked what he meant and he was just wondering why they didn't seem to know what they were doing. I told him "Sebus Maximus hasn't played 3v3 EU before, ppface hates the template and Benjmain628 is a great picker but isn't great at the strategy after picks. That's why our team was a hot mess". So yeah, there are 2 clans with 3v3 EU teams, CORP which has good team players then the other 3 clans that bubbled their way to get the scrap points as none of their players actively play 3v3 EU.

With 3v3 EU over, 3v3 Great Lakes is next and a similar argument is being made. VS and M'Hunters are way ahead of the other clans as CORP, BIA, Hydra and LEA are left to fight over the scraps. The boredom that pervades this division continues.

Hydra may be murdered in Division B but your clan will learn more than they ever would have if they wasted 4 months stomping on Roleplayers. If the roster can learn from their mistakes then being in B will be far better in the long run.

I disagree, Hydra from my stand-point have good structure, Good leadership and upcoming players who will develop in the future.

Looking at Division B it will in terms of probability finish as for next season..

In the event of one of these clans replacing going from most probability from my uninformed view perhaps Apex are your only hope/bet but chances are they will stay ;)

You would have a great chance at staying up, Your clan would be so much better in its 2nd season than its 1st season as you would prepare more with more developed players.

I would actually push Hydra to over-take VS or make a great go but Rogue is correct, You get the best out of your clan when pushed to the limits and to be honest your clan doesn't get pushed to its limits if it does remain in C it will be a catwalk although on the new format it will be test , So in the end If you have a chance in competing in the top 2 divisions of Clan League why not take it? If you lose who cares progress is more important which will lead to eventual success big or small.

I looked over some of your 1v1 games for the clan league, @Platinum and I have to admit, your strict counterpicks could probably give you a couple of wins, (if the opponent picks right as predicted).

Have you also analyzed some of our M'Hunters games or are you just like: "Meh, just rank them second last. VIW kicked our but in some games, so let's rank them first."

Nah, What I meant is what the division B league would look like for next season (What clans would be in it), Those were not positions in how I think Division B would finish next season in that sense. If you understand correctly..

I'm kind of surprised the immediate thing you did when you thought I ranked your clan 2nd last was look over my 1v1 games :P
