Here is the map: https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=58084
It is mostly finished, but I would like to ask the mapping community what parts of it they would change as I want to make sure I publish it without any regrets.
Things I am already considering:
1) Making coasts more detailed
2) Adding some text as a title
3) Dividing up the large territor(y/ies)
4) Adding more lakes and rivers if possible

Well deserts are too big. I know the logic behind that but you should cut them up a bit.

1) Syria is fine, but all other coast could use some more provinces.
2) Great idea!
3) Absolutely needed. Especially Al-Rutba has way to many connections.
4)Not really needed, but your own decision.

^^

^This map has solved the 'dessert' problem in an interesting way. I am curioues as to what you could do with that ;)

It would also be nice to add 1 bonuses for major cities.

I like the really big territories make the map small.

I think the large desert territories are too overpowered to be in, so something needs to be done.
Options I am considering:
1) Divide them into 2 or 3 each
2) Make them small circles which each have only a few connections to nearby territories (like in australia strategic)
3) Remove them

Do the first one. 2 looks dumb, and the map will look weird if you do 3

Add a wall sort of thing which blocks them from most territories like in this map:

How about I remove the desert territories but leave a clean curved border on the adjacent territories to the deserts, then draw dotted lines with small artworks of people on camels along some of the dotted lines. the dotted lines would connect some of the territories adjacent to the old desert territory.
zxctycxz, I wasn't sure what excuse I could have for there being a wall, unless maybe it was a sand-dune, but they aren't really long and thin

Having played some test games on the map, I feel that the large desert territories actually make gameplay much more interesting. Would anyone be alright if I kept them as they are?

Large territories are fine, they keep the game interesting and adds a good twist for FFA.

Add country text names to Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia etc. some people may be unfamiliar with the geography of the area.

If you are going to spend time with rivers, consider adding the two important mesopotamian rivers; Euphrates and Tigris.

These are my suggestions so far, keep up the good work.

Also feel free to include me for testing once this is finished.

Thanks @Stewie, I was going to try and get round to doing your second and third suggestions anyway but I've been busy with some exams so I'll add them soon. Thanks for the map though and I will make a test game with you at some point!
