Why when someone on your team gets auto-booted. You lose all of their armies and territories, ability to gain a piece of a card, etc. etc.
It completely breaks the game, someone leaves and boom you lose no matter what position you were in. I don't see why it would be hard to just take those units and territories and transfer them to another ally or at least allow a teammate to take their turn for them.

Also, i read somewhere that 4v2s are guaranteed. But I lose 4v2's all the time and I don't understand it. I'll attack with 4 on a neutral, they kill one guy, lose one guy, and then I guess my other 3 guys just say "ah whatever, we'll just do it tomorrow" and come back. Why does it work like this?

As to the 4v2's it's probably the luck settings. At 75% luck, you still have a chance of failing that 4v2. At 16% (where strategic 1v1 template settings are used) a 4v2 is guaranteed.

On the booting thing. This has been a long discussed issue and there is a UserVoice item for it. If you want to change how it works now, vote for this option.

I do agree that it stinks that the game is basically done when a your teammate gets booted, but I think one of the main reasons that this hasn't been highly voted on is because it can be easily abused. It would be easy for someone to plan a boot to gain a competitive advantage and I believe Fizzer doesn't want the situation where booting is a viable strategy because then the game would be drastically changed.

The only competitive advantage to be had from having teammates take over for their booted comrades is that one person can coordinate their moves better than two people can. That is, unless the idea would be to actually turn all of the territories of booted player A into territories controlled by remaining player B, which could have abuses for sure.

I think that teammates should be able to play the turns of booted teammates, or even if they are on vacation (have a checkbox when going into vacation mode that would allow this) but the territories should still belong to the booted player and not get combined into the remaining player's control.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, its nice to see a community that doesn't mind helping new players. Only one other thing is bothering me. Whenever i play the level 3 vs. AI game, It always seems like all 3 of them go out of their way to attack me rather than eachother. Specific example: I am being forced out of the India area by both grey and purple. Purple has all but one of the territories, with Grey controlling the 4th. Grey has 1 man in that territory but Purple throws 35 of his men into my 28 man wall in the New Guinea area instead of simply putting two men to finish off his bonus. Are they teamed up somehow?

the AI is somewhat narrow minded.. It always attacks as though you will never put any armies to defend and tends to concentrate in one location more often then not..

you can still use this to your advantage when that location happens to be against you however.. often times you can gobble up an AI's bonuses while he is attempting to steamroll into yours.. they tend to attack 1 location with the mass of their force and the rest with little bits, so you can defend against the little bits and keep them from doing much damage, while capturing everything they have and eventually overwhelming them
