She's scared to death of losing, so she's campaigning in a super conservative manner- which, ironically, is probably costing her more than it's helping. Right now the Republican nominee is a loose cannon who'll say anything he wants, and the crazier it gets, the more votes he earns. Hillary has everything very scripted and she refuses to take risks, as seen by her VP pick.

Hillary's careful nature is understandable, though. She's seen campaigns completely collapse because of one single yell (see The Howard Dean Scream, it's actually kinda funny). She's run before and lost the primaries, so now that she's gotten this far, she doesn't want to screw anything up. It makes sense.

But these days, simply taking risks is what looks good. Even if the risk ends up not rewarding, she'll earn points, just for even having taken that risk in the first place.

For instance, her running mate is a person who described himself with "I'm boring". He's a white male with no appeal to the Bernie-or-bust folks. He doesn't bring any form of demographic with him from anywhere. At this point, Elizabeth Warren would've been a much better pick because she inspires Bernie voters to go to the polls, and it doubles down on the women card (anybody who wasn't going to vote for Hillary because she was a women, isn't going to vote her now just because she has a man on the ticket).

But I understand why she picked him- Kaine is the "safe" choice. He's got a decent resume. He's got no scandals on him, no dirt on his record, nothing for the media to smear him with. She's trying to stop Trump from finding something to pin him on. But that's not how you play Trump's game. Trump and the media will find something, anything, no matter how small or how non-existent, to trash Kaine with. Hillary should've gone riskier- even if she had picked someone who was easy pickings for smearing, that person would've been smeared all the same as squeaky-clean Tim Kaine.

Hillary doesn't seem to realize that public image is the name of the game. I mean, that's always how it's been, but it's truer now than ever. It doesn't matter how well your VP will do the job, it only matters that they get you into the White House. Party unity is more important than ever at the moment, as we've seen with angry Bernie voters at the DNC and infighting from the Republican side about Trump. Yet we get poor, "safe" decisions like Tim Kaine. Oh and remember the cringey Pokemon Go line - "The should get people to make Pokemon Go to the polls!" Like who the fuck in her campaign approved that and made her an internet laughingstock? In the end, this could all make the difference, and result in a Trump presidency.

TL;DR Hillary is playing it too safe by picking Tim Kaine, among doing other things, and it's gonna bite her in the ass

Trump isn't a very quality candidate either, loose canon also means he will launch a fucking nuke, he even said so, not much of a way to gain support (I'm not against nuclear warfare, but I am against giving someone as aggressive as Trump our entire fucking arsenal). Not to mention, there's literal threats of a revolution if Trump is elected, same with Clinton, though. Trump's also pissed off almost every member of every minority, and plenty of White people as well. And has a hypocritical stance towards immigrants, considering his great tower was built by Polish immigrants, but yet he supports deporting any Mexicans even related to an Illegal, without considering the idea that if your born here, your a citizen, or how much revenue the US would get if all or most Illegals became citizens.

Clinton is. Well. Clinton. She's a criminal pardoned by the FBI. Not the best image to send to the world. She was already high lighted above.

Bernie is WAY too socialist, and fails to see that what was done in Scandinavian countries, like Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, CANNOT be done here the same way, with the same success. The United States has cities bigger than the entire population of Norway, not to mention California has a higher population than all of the Nordic countries combined (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Greenland, the Aland Islands, Finland, and the Faroe Islands). Plus he made a statement about how White people don't know what it's like to be poor or live in a Ghetto. I am living proof against this, I live in a low income, high crime neighborhood.

Tim Kaine is squeaky clean? Obviously nowhere near as scandalous or corrupt as Hillary, but he has come under scrutiny recently for accepting gifts from big business interests.
