Mother Teresa FTW :) the most saint woman that ever existed!

"People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."

- Nënë Teresa, a very inspiring person.

Seems like this is turning just to a quote page, so I'll listen a few quotes I like, not commenting on wether I like whoever made those quotes.

"All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others"
Orwell - Animal farm
Maxim criticizing Stalin's USSR

"Religion is the Opium of the people"
Marx

"How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."
Hitler

"The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic."
Stalin

"Give me the control of a nation's money supply and i care not who makes its laws"
Rotschild maxim

And yes, I love dark quotes. They summerize very well our society and our history.

While we are enamored with commie quotes, TG, let's see a couple more:

"The goal of socialism is communism."
"Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever."
"One man with a gun can control 100 without one."
- Vladimir Lenin

"If the opposition disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves."
- Joseph Stalin

^ These describe exactly what is happening today in America. Too bad no one studies history and the lefties are too stupid to see it. But keep telling me how gun control, socialism and state education is good, liberals.

Hmmm not knowing history is precisely why Trump may be America's next president and why the far right is rising again in Europe.

And today even if you having a gun can't prevent you from being controlled and silenced if needed be. Give the wrong man control of America, and I doubt your guns will do any good.

The West is constantly pushing to reduce freedom of movement, speech and religion to gain security. But as Jefferson said:

"Whoever is willing to trade freedom to gain safety, deserves neither and will lose them both"

A friend of mine told me another quote from Churchill very similar to that one:

"The inherent vice of Capitalism is the unequal share of blessings; the inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries"

It's a very interesting quote, not only for the easy to spot criticizing of socialism, but also because it somehow defends socialism too.

First there's the bad thing, under socialism everyone has misery.

But then under socialism no one has more misery than another one. And also we haven't said how much any given person is miserable (Churchill ofc would say a lot) but under this quote you can't really tell.

You can make a similar analysis for the first part of the quote too btw.

You made your point saying that gun control is the only thing that allowed Stalin and Hitler to rise to power. I refuted your point, the communist revolution had the support of the people and Hitler got elected into power. Guns or not guns, having a smart society is the best way to prevent dictatorships from rising into power.

Tell that to the Taliban.

I think I'm gonna stop to try telling you the difference between total and limited wars. The US havent been into a total war ever since WW2. Every war they made since was limited. I doubt any country or resistance could survive a total war from America aka using nukes and everything they got.

This quote is poetic, but pretty foppish. If war wasn't bad, then what is the problem with growing fond of it?

The Soviets were able to hold a superior position against the Whites, then use that to their advantage. They also ordered that food and water would go to soldiers first, a powerful motivator.

Hitler got elected into power.

He was appointed, not elected.

I doubt any country or resistance could survive a total war from America aka using nukes and everything they got.

It's irrelevant, because one, using nuclear weapons in Afghanistan would end the US via China and Russia, and the US would not use nuclear weapons to stop a rebellion. At that, it's doubtful that the US would use anything air based besides reconnaissance, due to that they'll likely be killing 90% civilians in those strikes, and it'll radicalize millions of folk rather quickly.

This doesnt mean they didnt have the people's support. Lenin couldnt have gone that far if he didnt had the people behind him. Plus the whites were seen as puppets of western powers, which they kindda received their support from, so it's a bad thing to get the support from the population.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_federal_election,_March_1933

Hitler won the 1933 election. He was indeed appointed chancelor but so was Merkel. The winning party gets to make a gvt in prime-ministerish systems.

It's irrelevant

It definetly isn't. US presidents have so far been all reasonable enough not to use nuclear bombs. Nothing tells us that the next or the one after won't use them.

He went that far because the region of Russia that he controlled was by far the most industrial and populous at the time.

It definetly isn't. US presidents have so far been all reasonable enough not to use nuclear bombs. Nothing tells us that the next or the one after won't use them.

It definitely is. As soon as they'd use some in Afghanistan, China and Russia would retaliate, and if they used them in the US, public support would evaporate. Neither Trump or Clinton would be that stupid to do either.
