Everyday thousands of people come through this doors: officials, politicians, tourists...
I suppose many of them wonder who is a man whose name is placed in such a honourable place - above the main entrance to The European Parliment in Brussels.
Altiero Spinelli, a little-known person who had a huge impact on the shape of today Europe.

The video is a bit dry, but I watched most of it, it was pretty interesting, and Altiero Spinelli seemed pretty good. He was communist but he thought for himself, not being mindless Stalinist. Particularly, I liked this:

"Private property must be - depending on the situation - abolished, limited, corrected, or expanded, but not according to some dogmatic rules."

His intentions seemed to be good indeed.
