I reached the breaking point for ads today. While the forum ads and highlighted word ads were fine, I simply cannot stand all these random pop-ups and the top sixth or seventh of my screen being covered by an ad that cannot be maneuvered from ( as in, I cannot scroll down from it). That ad on the top of my screen prevents me from seeing the bottom sixth or seventh of my screen ( I have to pan in and out to see below about where the chat button is ). I turned off all ads, but that one on the top is not going away. Normally I'd be fine with such a thing, but as you have already read it prevents me from enjoying my playing experience with a large inconvenience.
I am not sure if others have experienced this problem, but I have. I will end this by saying that it should be possible - if not simply removed - to turn off this ad in the ad toggling device.

you are a member. Just turn the ads off in the settings tab..

To my knowledge there is no such advertisement on WL. I recomand you take a virus check, and also see if you have installed some unwanted programs. I believe this to be the case as you have turned off ads.

Edit: I don`t think WL uses higligthed words either...

@Leon I just said I can't turn these ads off.
@TWorst I do not use my computer for more than games and such, so I do not rcall ever downloading more than a few programs. I will look into a virus check though. Highlighted woords, as in how you said virus check and a word highlighted in green ( hwen clicked ) takes you to another site.

Sounds like you've text enhance or something similar... does the adds you see have text enhance mentioned/showing anywhere? (then it'll also show on other sites, not only wl) there's some examples if you google, it looks like this:

No. It appears some site called betterSurf is doing the ads. That's the best I can tell at least.

WarLight does not display ads at the top of the screen, only the bottom. Also, as others noted, you're a member, so you can completely disable WarLight's ads.

It sounds like you're infected with malware that's injecting ads into your browser. The only way for you to fix this is to clean your PC.

Thank you, sorry for wasting your time. I am unfortunately not a tech expert, but I just wonder how I ever got malware in the first place. Meh.

downloads of any type, sometimes opening emails, you should scan your computer at least once per month for spyware, malware, and viruses.

My word this seems familiar.Firefox a moment ago just disabled a pop up on a warlight forum page and days ago a thing called bettersurf tried to download an add-on on my firefox but i denied it from doing so.The worse thing is everytime I search bettersurf i get a baby store and nothing on the thing.
