My veiws
Round 1-Maya inflict major casualities upon the Phonicans, who tactically retreat.
Round 2-I'll have to give this one to the maya as well, they may not have better weaponry or armor, but what they do have, is Scare tactics, A mayan sacrificing a phonican soldier in front of the phonican army would instill fear, and to be honest, the maya had decent weaponry, but not long range, which may be their downfall

I dont understand what this is. is it a tourney?
