Well, we can't let the enitre forum drown in spam. This is away for people to see certain forum posts without having to sift through like 6 pages of crap :P

it's really no different to what we've had last few weeks.
New postings have been hidden by the stale threads that have been upvoted thus hiding the new ones, so sifting through pages to find them is now the norm.

I personally appreciate the spamming as it highlights the now broken system.
Bring back the old forums and i have a feeling the spam will fade away.
There was nothing wrong with the forums, if you didn't want to see the spam posts you could just ignore them. At least new postings were visible to all.

Indibob: The broken mechanic has been a thing before the voting system: It has only highlited it now because some sad pepole hate that they can't get the attention they need :D

This has been brought about by sheer laziness of people not wanting to take the time to sift through and find the posts relevant to them.

Now we never even get to see those posts because of the up-voting of certain threads.
In addition as you state, the people who like to spam aren't content with a few posts, they need to be seen.

It's like policing for the sake of it. Let them have their one or two threads and let us have our forum back so we can see CURRENT posings

No: It was worse before because the shit post were the most seen on the forums, and it attracted all sorts of sad crap. Most people dosent want a first page with extreme right crap, felidae spam or general insulting shit posts. Fizzer fixed one problem only for us to discover a deeper problem... This happens all the time.

Nor do we want to see the same threads at the top all the time hiding new ones

There are 5 posts on page 1 of the general forum.

That is not a good thing.

Of course it's not good. But this is the works of sad sadistic manboy who wants the forum back to the "good days" so they can contiuning shitposting and gain attention. This is the most distruptive the forums has ever been and I seriously hope Fizzer is working on something to fix it.

The forums have always been unacceptably toxic, even when they were running normally.

Actually: It's only the recent year the forums has devolved into a toxic mess. I have been here a long time now and I can tell you that this hasnt always been the case.

The bottom line must be that they are forums though.
Forums are designed to show latest postings.
This we no longer have spam or no spam

Or: Have a post limit: This way we can keep the spam to a minium and keep away any toxicity :D I hope that Fizzer implements that soon.

Or: have downvoting but no upvoting so new postings can be seen
