In game http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=5212664 I lost because .5 was rounded down. On http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Rounding_mode it is written
In straight round mode, WarLight will simply round remainders to the nearest whole number. If the remainder is .5 exactly, the number will be rounded up.
Does anyone have an idea, why it happened?

On the pivotal turn:

attacker loses: 44*0.7 = 30.8, which rounds up to 31
defender loses: 45*0.72 = 32.4, which rounds down to 32

I don't see the issue here. Where was 0.5 rounded down?

Attacker loses 45*0.7 = 31.5, which got rounded down to 31.

It is weird, it is usually rounded up.
For example, here, on Turn 4:

Hitting into 5 results in 4 attacking armies dead. Every time I've seen a hit like this, the loss is rounded up.

Interesting settings. At first glance, seems that players can force a stalemate. But then it becomes less obvious.

Yeah, but the relevant number is that defense was 45.
You mixed up 44 and 45.

I think Fizzer jinxed me too. He secretly finds ways for me to miss attacks or allow my enemy to hit attacks so I have to play from a disadvantage. And when it happens there is always a slight pause (when he goes into the system to pull the levers and get the nuts and bolts moving) before the next turn can be seen. At first I thought it was my computer or internet connection. But now I am catching on.

Yeah, seems kinda weird...

Turn 17:
Bob attacks with 44, so 44*0.72=31.68 =>32 defenders should (and do) die.
Panda Defends with 45, so 45*0.70=31.5 => 32 attackers SHOULD die, but 31 attackers died.

Panda, recommend submitting bug report to Fizzer, include game link and turn number to help him figure out what happened.

Doh, I did switch the numbers ^^;

I bet internally the number is something awful like 31.49999999999947, machine precision can be a real jerk behind the scenes.
